I am an undergraduate physics student at the University of Glasgow, which puts me in a position where I am still fresh to the material covered in secondary school, but at the same time gives insight into the skills and knowledge required at university.
My belief is that maths and science is best learnt through practising exercises, which also carries the benefit of being a preparation to the exams awaiting all students in the future. First, I establish what is the student's target and where they are having most problems. Then I explain the topic in theory and examples, this followed by lots of practice through exercises.
If needed, I can also teach in Polish or Italian.
At this moment, I am relatively new to passing on my knowledge, perhaps but for a few fellow students to whom I gave some help. However, I have experience in working with children at summer camps and events. Needless to mention that not so long ago I had to pass A-level exams myself.
