I believe that oral expression is the most important thing. A language needs to be spoken to practise listening and speaking at the same time. I am a French national so my student can practise by listening to a French accent.
I look for French songs, newspaper or French books that I have at home to practise the reading. I am always happy to lend some books or magasine to students.
I bring my own grammar books. I usually give short written exercises. The goal is not to write a novel but just a few lines. Then, I provide my email address to students so they can send me their exercises which will be corrected before the session.
Each session will be divided between correction of written exercices, some reading and discussion at the end.
The students can ask me any questions by email whenever they want even outside the sessions.
