I am a dental student in my 3rd year of training at leeds univeristy, with an in depth knowledge of all 3 sciences up to A level, as well as the admission process for getting in to the majority of UK medical/dental schools, from admission tests to interviews.
I provide the most effective tutoring possible by identifying the areas where my students are weakest and focusing on these, rather than simply reteaching the entire subject. I also focus more on understanding rather than regurgitation or fact learning, working mainly by application to real world examples, as these are easier to recall than simple facts as well as being more interesting.
For example, biochemistry is much easier to both understand and remember if you can use a real world example to illustrate it, like how le chateliers principle can be modelled using tooth enamel and how it reacts to the pH of your mouth.
I have been informally tutoring part time at GCSE and A level for around a year at this point, but i also want to start applying my knowledge from going through the admissions process to help others achieve the same.
