About the lesson

I am an enthusiastic teacher with experience encouraging and leading students from any age and ability.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach oboe, cello, clarinet, piano and recorder to all levels.
I can also offer help with extra tutoring for theory tests or GCSE exams.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

BMus(Hons) 2:1 from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance 2008-2012.
Currently studying for a MPerf at the Royal College of Music 2012-2014.
I have Grade 8 oboe with distinction and Grade 8 cello with merit.

- How much do you charge?

£25 per hour - arrangements can also be made for shared lessons (often for siblings or friends).

- Where do you teach?

I teach at home in Lewisham but am willing to travel in the local area (New Cross, Deptford, Blackheath and Greenwich).

- When are you available?

Days and times are flexible to suit you.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I will teach any age or ability! Some of my students have been as young as 4 when starting whereas others have been 15.
I am more than willing to teach adult learners and have experience in accommodating their needs. Complete beginners are more than welcome - there is no minimum standard! Students can be entered for exams if they wish.

About Lenia

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have been teaching privately for around 4 years.
As well as this I also spent 18 months teaching at Loughton Music Academy and leading small ensembles there.
I have had some classroom academic teaching experience.
Also a particular interest in early years develop, following a work placement as a music leader in workshops for 0-5 year olds.
