I like to first gain an understanding of the weaknesses and strengths of all of my students, and will then approach each weakness methodically by targeting specific points of weaknesses and improving them. I like to create a good relationship with m student and will most likely set specific homework tasks upon each visit to maximise learning time.
I give lessons to students of A Level standard and below. I can help with literacy, spelling, grammar, creative writing, essay writing, literary analysis and comprehension. I have A*s in GCSE English Literature, GCSE English Language and A Level English Literature.
With 11+ tutoring, I will assess children so that we have a starting point for the learning - a lot of the Essex 11+ test is not covered in most primary schools. Teaching is based on each child's needs. With booster work and SATs preparation I identify areas that the child would benefit from being taught and work on these to improve understanding and confidence.
I have a unique method of teaching which accounts for all types of learning. I approach every lesson differently, for example not every lesson will be taught behind a desk, some will be outside, some will involve learning from a video or an E - Book as i believe that understanding how a student learns and giving them multiple opportunities to show their knowledge is key.
Sessions are built around student's needs and learning styles, so they are delivered in a way that ideally matches them.
I've taught for many moons and have inspired students in both German and English to continue their studies and tackle exams with confidence and great success. My lessons are tailored to match individual needs and aim to boost self belief and enjoyment. I'm rigorous in pace and structure, and ensure high levels of sustained progress are made throughout each lesson.
I provide academic lessons (in accordance to the national curriculum) to students aged 5 - 11 years old. I also provide piano lessons to students aged 6 - 12 years old. Each session is tailor made to the student. I am familiar with differentiation. No student is the same and therefore I take a flexible approach to my teaching.
I understand that every child works at a different pace and is engaged in a variety of ways. It is my job to capture the child's imagination and harness the learning so that excellent progress is achieved as well as a sense of well being and success for the child.
I base my classes on pupil lead discovery, allowing the pupils to discuss what it is they need to succeed.
Hello all, My name is Bethany, but most people like to call me Beth. Last year I took my GCSE's so I understand how you may be feeling; stressed? concerned? Well, I am always here to help you through this process because I took the exams and I know what to expect.
I am extremely patient and passionate about the English subject. I find teaching and communication with young people very rewarding and truly satisfying. That is why I am always ready to go the extra mile in order to help my pupils achieve their goals and dreams. I believe that pupils should enjoy learning and so I strive to make all my lessons as enjoyable and interesting as possible.
I will make you understand the basics of writing paragraphs, essays, etc the structure I use is PEE (Point evidence explanation) I'll also help you read much more clearer so you don't have the urge to stop and start and struggle with certain words so your confident in your work.
I'm 16 years old, having recently completed my GCSEs with 11 A*s and 3As, whilst attending one of the top 10 grammar schools in the UK. Having passed the 11+ myself with a very high score of 370, I have both the knowledge and patience to be able to work with children right the way through primary school, in preparation for the 11+ Entrance exam.
In my experience, it is very important that the student understands what the examiner is looking for. Therefore, my teaching is based on exam skills and also on developing contextual knowledge - this includes encouraging the student to do do extra reading and to discuss topical issues that arise out of the work that we do and on the texts that the student reads.
My teaching method is to provide practical exercises along with many fun paper exercises in order to make the lessons more enjoyable so the student can process the information more accordingly and accurately. My classes will involve a starter to allow the mind to focus on the tasks ahead and then use their favourite activities, films, music e.t.
I encourage my pupils to foster resilience, embrace their learning and take charge /responsibility of their learning journey. I am a resilient person and I believe in a 'can do' attitude and I believe that anyone can achieve given the right support and guidance.
