Hello! I teach Years 7, 8, 9 and GCSE English Language and Literature. In all I do, I aim to spark a love of words and confidence in using them. I encourage enjoyment of reading and a resilient attitude towards mistakes, which are great teachers! In my lessons I use books on an exciting range of topics, because English flings open doors to the real world as well as to imaginary worlds.
I focus on learning through deep, intuitive understanding of the subject in question, rather than memorization (except when necessary). In the initial stages of teaching I like to analyze the student's way of learning, making the most of his/her strengths and working on his/her weaknesses.
Do you struggle to put your ideas into words, or organize them into paragraphs or Powerpoint slides? Sometimes a second objective pair of eyes can be invaluable when you feel 'stuck'. I can help you plan, produce or improve essays, articles, dissertations and presentations, understand and use important references, or help you develop effective strategies for doing so.
I am currently studying English in the IB Diploma alongside other subjects. Though my teaching style is adaptive to the student, I like to focus on an interactive approach. This includes the use of activities in the process to encourage students to learn with initiative.
I am a really patient teacher, and I try to make every session as fun as possible! I always try to find new ways to teach, and I also change my teaching method depending on the person I am in front of. I have a lot of tutoring experience and the fact that I still am a student makes it really easy for me to get along very good with the people I teach to.
I work with children aged 4-16 as well as adult learners. For each student, we will create action plans which outline the objectives for the half term and how we aim to achieve them. Lessons will be split half theory (teaching content) and the other half practical (i.e. do exam questions) unless you ask otherwise.
I like to make each lesson unique and engaging - enjoying learning is key! I use a range of techniques to help with learning, depending on what suits you best - be that flashcards, songs, games and more!
I have a very informal and adaptable approach to teaching l believe a student works best when they are comfortable and able to be themselves. I focus more so on simplifying methods and creating visual revision material to understand broader terminology.
Flexible approach to suit the students needs, my methods include using past paper practice, taking direct questions from the student, explaining new topics, reviewing old concepts as well as teaching tricks and shortcuts. I prepare students for Wandsworth Year 6 Tests.
My teaching methods are tailored towards each student. I aim to target a specific assignment the students bring and need covered. I can also deliver knowledge based on a topic the student wishes to cover with a variety of materials.
My lessons are adapted to my students style of learning and requirements. It is important to me that I make difficult concepts/ topics accessible, relatable and memorable to students. This is the only way students want to improve in a particular area of their own accordance and not because they have to due to pressure from external bodies.
Initially, lessons focus on identifying weakness and areas for growth. This allows me to create a lesson plan for the coming sessions, which I then discuss with the student and their guardians to ensure their approval of the plan. I have found that confidence is often at the root of students difficulties.
My teaching methods are unique. I am just really good at helping anyone learn. I base my lessons on the individual needs and tailor my teaching style accordingly. My lessons are fun, fast and relevant. I always draw on the student's interests and hobbies which is intrinsic to any learning pathway.
I am a 30 year old male and a qualified teacher with over six years of diverse teaching experience. Having studied languages myself in an academic setting, I understand the individual needs of learning and the immense pleasure that can be drawn from studying languages. My lessons begin with a diagnostic approach and I then prepare classes and course for individual students or small groups.
Each student is an individual with their own learning style and methods. I like to adapt and understand this style of learning so that the student is able to learn efficiently and well. I will first gain an insight into what the student is struggling with and then create a set plan to overcome the issues.
My teaching method is to cater to individual needs and to work through challenges with patience, care and passion, making learning fun and equipping each person with relevant life long tools
My teaching method is working from a values based stance and as such I ensure all students individual learning needs are considered and the pace of learning is adapted to meet these needs. I use blended learning techniques which encourage creativity and allow the lessons to be fun.
I base my tutoring upon individual need and tailor my lessons to suit each student. We can meet in person at my home or carry out our lessons online via skype, I am also available to reach by email or telephone.
For my teaching method: first of all everyone learns differently so I edit the teaching techniques based on the student. But the base would be to break down what was needed to be learnt, test the knowledge that the student already has and prepare to then build up.
I can be very traditional in my approach but have a proven track record with students presenting to the Houses of Parliament, European Parliament, Student Conferences as well as presenting their UG academic research projects on BBC radio. I encourage students to read around the subject area, engaging different perspectives before putting pen to paper or fingers to keyboards.
I am all about confidence, approaching each subject to suit each child’s learning type. Giving children the confidence to tackle even what they find most difficult and approach sats in a happy calm nature.
I will try to get to know the student and their ways of learning and base the lessons on any problem areas the child feels they have.
I like my students to fully undestand the topic before answering questions, and the best way to do this, according to my personal experiences, is by having conversations about the topics and discussing what the student doesn’t understand so well and progressing from there.
I am a Head of Computer Science & ICT department and teacher from state and international private school.
I haven a degree in Drama , Psychology and History . I carried on to achieve my teaching degree and then an MA in education . I love solving a problem and help students to find strategies to solve their own academic struggles or just to improve.
Young Spanish Primary Education teacher offering afterschool classes to Primary Education students. The methodology I usually use is "Learning by playing", I like students to discover things on their own, interactive classes, so that they can experiment and see the results by themselves.

I am a friendly and personable teacher. I love teaching and finding out what motivates a person to then use it to engage them in learning. I believe that my years of travelling earlier in life have stood me in good stead to provide my pupils with a full and rich education, to encourage them to be independent and flexible thinkers and to view the world and everyone in it with an open mind.
I am a postgraduate research student at the University of Birmingham, currently studying social science, with an undergraduate degree in graphic design. I also have an A-level in Latin and 11 GCSEs grades A*-B in subjects including English, maths, the sciences and French. I tailor my lessons to address the needs of my students and like to include a level of play in sessions to keep learning fun.
Because my parents are Swedish and Danish and I grew up in the USA and France, I am well versed in the literary traditions of different cultures. I believe this sharpens my capacity to perceive ideas from fresh angles, see past the dialectic layers that discourse is often wrapped in. This aptitude has helped me convey ideas simply and engagingly in the past.
