Hello there! Learning the English language can be a scary thing, even to Englishmen! However, when mastered, it can be truly beautiful. I'm here to share my passion for pronouns and the greatness of grammar in a way that is simple and fun.
I believe the class should be built around the students' needs. After finding out what you need and want, I would plan around that. I also believe that the best way to practice a language is practice, practice and practice. I teach grammar and vocabulary practically.
I have always been passionate about English and I structure lessons around students' needs. By engaging in speaking activities, I determine what aspects of grammar, phonetics, vocabulary and functions should be reinforced. I then propose more activities that address those areas and encourage practice and improvement.
I base my teaching methods on the 4 main principles of learning a language, reading writing listening and speaking. I am patient and firm and determined to help achieve success for my students. I have a good sense of humour and a wide range of local English expressions.
My teaching method starts by listening to what my student wants. Ill be listening to their ability to articulate themselves confidently. I then give my students the chance to read for 10 minutes, then ill ask them about what they read.
I give lessons to school children as well as adults. For school children, I always try to find and fun and dynamic way of learning the language. For adults, I focus on their purpose: whether they want to impress a new partner, or learn some specific vocabulary for a job, I tailor my lessons to their needs and make sure they are learning the relevant vocabulary.
I prefer to go through topic by topic as I believe it benefits the child more. This way they are able to understand each topic in detail which allows them to answer exam style questions with more ease.
I can tutor english for school up to University level (Ie Common Entrance, GCSEs, A-Levels) or English as a foreign language for all ages. I approach lessons in a structured yet relaxed manner, which as an experienced language-learner I have found encourages confidence in spoken and written expression - leading to the best results.
