WHY: I love to change people’s perspective how they learn new skills and languages HOW: during weekly sessions we mix different language skills (communicating, reading, listening, grammar) from materials I provide with theory&practice of learning skills (kinaesthetic and immerse learning, daily learning routine to name but a few) I’ve been testing on my students for the last 3.
I am a university student, future Biomedical scientist . I graduated IB and right now I am teaching some students from Spain and Italy. I am highly familiar to IB and A level as well as GSCE. I am using the vest books video tutorials and I have full access of Academic files.
I have taught in multiple formats - large lectures, small group work as well as individual tutor sessions. I am particularly passionate about human physiology, in particular, cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology. I am happy to tailor topics to those required.
I believe in learning by practice. After explaining any part I would solve with my students plenty of examples and practice on past papers. Also, I would like always to link the maths with what my students are planing to do in future to prove that we use maths in our daily life.
I believe that the knowledge I have can be adapted to work with all stages of building your business. Through relaxed conversations and a goal-driven approach to making progress.
In the case of face to face meetings you will have to bring your own laptop to my flat (or I can travel to yours, if you prefer). For online we will use Skype and its share desktop functionality.
I based my classes on material that I will provide, focusing on the personal goals of each student. We can use interesting TED talks if you want to improve your speaking, real articles from Spanish newspapers, fragments of Spanish TV films and series...
I would be able to teach GCSE and possibly A level students. Before the lesson I would ask the student for a topic they weren't sure about and I would make clear notes for them and plan activities and quizzes for the lesson. There would also be a discussion point where I would explain any misunderstandings the student has.
I teach both A-level and GCSE. With each new student I start with an introductory lesson, where we work out what exactly it is that you find difficult, any topics you might be struggling with and other areas you might want us to go through together.
My teaching method is always tailored to my specific students, along with what they would like to achieve.
My teaching methods are mostly student lead (by that i mean focusing on their needs). I like to break down complicated things in to their simplest form and explaining them in a way that make sense for everyone and differentiated to cater for everyone.
I tend to tutor via Skype, which involves preparing in advance to ensure my students receive structured lessons. The first session consists of a 'traffic light' system whereby my student considers which topics they are most/least confident in. I then analyse which learning style suits my student best and then design a tutoring programme based on this; every student is individual.
I try to cater the lesson to the needs of the student. If there are specific topics that are problematic I will focus on these to identify where a student is getting stuck and try to help them through it. If a student requires a more general overview of a topic I will change my approach accordingly.
My teaching method is flexible and dependent on the needs of the student. If the student is preparing for an exam the approach will be more general to try and cover all topics needed. Instead if a student needs explanations to further understanding on a specific topic then the class will have a more focused and narrow approach.
I have mainly taught my previous company's employees. It was a cafe and some chalets in the French Alps and most staff was English. I was tutoring the cafe and chalet staff in group lessons and and private lesson. From teaching the team in the cafes, other English locals decided to join the lessons.
As a tutor, it is important to me that my students feel their individual needs are recognised. I base my teaching plans on my students' curriculum, but invite input from students on where they require extra support. I adapt sessions as we go along, in response to my own assessment of students' strengths and difficulties.
I concentrate on functional English. Not all subjects in a language are equally learned at the same time. You might really need one part and have no interest in how to explain your extended family. I want to know what you want to learn now and what can wait. I like to find ways to use topics you enjoy to learn that vocabulary and grammar.
I have been tutoring GCSE and A-level Biology for over 20 years and many of my pupils achieve A or A* in GCSE Biology and A-level Biology and go on to read, medicine, law and other disciplines at their chosen universities. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Biology to GCSE and A-level and biological sciences to undergraduate level. I teach AQA, WJEC, EdExcel, Nuffield and OCR boards.
One word: personalisation. We'll focus on what you need and what you want.
It's all based on methodology, imagery, sounds and lucidity. We are going to find how your memory works best and then, I will provide you with mnemonics so your results stick with you. I find going from theory to customisable practice is the best way to study a foreign language.
I have always nurtured a love for languages and different cultures. As a tutor, I am keen to pass my enthusiasm onto any prospective students, understanding that the lessons must be designed to your needs. I have experience and in depth knowledge of written English from my degree but my teaching philosophy focuses primarily on creating real-life speaking situations.
Having been an au pair 4 times, I am aware that patience is a key word, especially because French is one of the hardest language to learn. I first teach easy words (colours, animals, etc) and their pronunciation and then go onto actual spelling, vocabulary, rules..
I have a BA (Hons) Drama and Literature, PGCE (Secondary English Teacher) - teaching KS3/4/5 (age 11 to 19). Taught in Comprenhensive mixed schools and currently teaching in Private School - English Language and English Literature - Head of English Department Department.
I always follow bibliography to my lessons: the structure and the progression designed for some editorial are very interesting to follow. This is because this kind of bibliography starts with elementary resources to fix a proper base, and it is increasing the difficulty gradually.
I adapt my teaching method according to my students; there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning, so it is important to find a method that works for the individual. Having said that, I conduct all my lessons in a positive manner, focussing on encouraging students to engage with the course material.
Communicative language teaching (CLT) to enable the learners to communicate effectively and appropriately in the various situations they would be likely to find themself in. The content of CLT courses are functions such as inviting, suggesting, complaining or notions such as the expression of time, quantity, location.
I'm a native Mandarin speaker and I also speak English fluently. I have lived in China for 7 years, and that has helped me shaped my understanding of the Chinese culture better. I could help improve your Chinese significantly as I have experiences in teaching languages.
I've worked in Primary schools all over Bristol with students from year 1-6, in both mainstream environments and SEN classes. I've also done group tutoring for Explore Learning as well as private tuition for KS1&2. I have also tutored a-level and degree level students in my specialist Humanities subjects.
Having just finished uni, everything I've learned is still fresh in my mind and ready to be shared and explained to those who need a bit of help! Happy to have a chat about what kind of subject areas you would like to work on and tailor the lessons according to what you need. Easy going approach - can cover whatever topics you need including grammar, vocal, pronunciation, exam prep etc.
I am a person who believes that each student should be taught according to their preferences. If you would like to be taught outdoors I do not mind, indoors as well I do not mind. I teach everything that is required to be taught but I start with the basics first before everything else. I mostly teach students who are sitting for A-level and IGCSE examinations.

Perfect! I’ve had my first couple of classes with Robbie and he’s such a brilliant tutor. He really knows photoshop, is well prepared, engaged, ask a lot about what I am interested to learn, and plan the lessons accordingly. It’s been a truly positive...
