I have studied history from GCSE through to Masters level. The key to not just passing, but achieving the highest grades has relatively little to do with your ability to memorise facts, rather your ability to be original and argue with the appropriate evidence. This is easy to accomplish by dragging history away from textbook and making it more personable and enjoyable to your needs.
I provide one to one tuition in Secondary English & English Literature. I have a BA Hons in English with Education Studies, a PGCE qualification in English and a Masters Degree in Education. All tutoring is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the individual to determine strengths, weaknesses and to set targets to progress.
My understanding of how the body works, why it becomes ill, and how to help that person regain their health, are the basis for my methodology for teaching. Health and disease are inter-related, unique and individual and have to be understood as a whole.
I strive for a personalised teaching style, customised to stimulate interest and intuition rather than simply memorisation by rote: Different people learn in different ways, if a student needs specific guidance then we will work together to solve the problem; If a student wants to learn as much as possible then I will take a more direct approach.
My teaching methodology is adaptive depending on the subject and the person/people, and whether I'm teaching 1 to 1 or in a group. Sometimes teaching outdoors is more engaging and effective, sometimes in a focused indoor classroom is more appropriate. I can be imaginative and creative to make the subject interesting for students so that they are motivated to continue.
My approach is to make the lesson enjoyable and fun as I feel that it is important for the student(s) to enjoy what they are learning. I always make myself available to be contacted between lessons so that the student can get in touch with any queries in order to fully understand what they are being taught.

My teaching method is short taught lessons, lots of practice activities and self-assessment, and regular formal assessments to monitor progress. Following an initial baseline assessment, I will then accordingly plan appropriate lessons and resources based upon your aims and interests.
My teaching involves finding out how much the students know and improving that knowledge. This is through a range of teaching styles totally dependent on the individual. I like the lessons to be interactive, with the students taking a big part in their development.
I offer lessons up to the BSC level 10 and can provide in person or video tutoring. To get the most out of the session, I require students to provide me with their syllabus, current lecture content (powerpoints, handouts, etc), and questions. * The Direct Method In this method the teaching is done entirely in the target language. The learner is not allowed to use his or her mother tongue. * Task Based Learning The focus of this method is on the completion of a task which in itself is interesting to the learners. Learners use the language they already have to complete the task and there is some correction of errors.
