As a teacher I bring enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication to my classes. When working with students my aim is to boost their confidence, and in turn their ability, through friendly, patient and creative tutoring, which the student finds both enjoyable and challenging.
I am available to teach GCSE science as well as biology and chemistry up to A level. I believe that with the right motivation and support, all students are capable of understanding even the most difficult scientific concepts. To achieve this, I believe that it is crucial to adapt to each student's individual needs and to use encouragement to instil confidence in their own ability.
I use a range of methods including task based lessons and PPP. I can tailor lessons to suit students needs and diagnostic testing. I can create lessons from set supporting material but I have created a great deal of my own lessons using materials that I have collected over the years.
My teaching style is largely based making sure the student is happy and confident whilst learning. I try to make my lessons fun and engaging whilst also offering practical skills and 'insider knowledge' from having completed many English-based qualifications myself.
My overall approach to tutoring heavily relies on strong communication skills, as I believe that any student can receive top grades if they are able to understand what is needed from them and how they can achieve this. It is also important that they feel comfortable in their learning environment, and feel confident that they can reach their targets.
I'm an architectural engineering student at Heriot-Watt university - I love maths and have helped younger students with their studies throughout my high school years. I teach using problem-based learning and try to tailor each lesson to individuals' needs.
The underpinning basis for my teaching methodology is differentiation-this is particularly important when tutoring a variety of students. I carefully break lessons down into achievable parts to give students confidence, set clear criteria for success, offer examplars wherever possible and try to convey my enthusiasm for my subject.
I have been teaching for five years now and I still love it. I believe that students make the most progress when the lessons are engaging and catered to their needs and individual learning styles. The feedback I give provides clear next steps so that making progress is simple and enjoyable.

I teach using a multimethodological approach when teaching students as each student has their own study methods. In general I will provide a context to vocabulary and ask key CCQs to ensure students understand， as well reinforcing the content being learned.
I assess and tailor each lesson based on what my student needs. Firstly, I assess what they need help with and design a teaching plan. I teach topics that they require help with and pick up topics that I feel they need to work on. I teach according to their syllabus with regular assessments. I set homework every week and go over any questions they need help on.
My teaching method revolves around confidence boosting through quizzes, questioning and student participation. People learn best through interaction, rather than the teacher constantly droning. Through this I will aim to deliver concrete teaching methods that allows the student to question and formulate their own answers.

GCSE Maths & Science/A-Level & IB Chemistry Tutor. I believe it is important to build a friendly and equal relationship with the student and I hope that my experience of the ups and downs of school, and university, can help the students beyond Maths and Science.
I base my tuition off of the frame work that students learn best by having the tutor explain the theory then going through worked examples together. After this we can apply what they have learnt to questions to solve individually (with guidance where necessary).
I have studied in many different countries over my schooling period including Singapore, India, Germany and the UK. I think that every student has a different method of co-relating new topics to those that are familiar to them and I work to develop that particular method and build on it rather than teaching with what is familiar to me. I like to make lessons more interactive ie.

I believe that communication is key. One must build a strong rapport with their students whilst also ensuring that they go home and practice the material they want to teach their students. Most of the time it is a lack of confidence and practice that hold a student back from achieving their potential. I believe in partnering up with my students to ensure we tackle the subjects as a team.
