My name is Lucy and I have recently graduated in Neuroscience with first class honours from the University of Bristol. I am offering Science lessons for KS2, KS3, GCSE and A level students.
My teaching methodology is tailored to suit the individual's needs, i.e. bilingual students, dyslexic etc. and curriculum required. It is always related to everyday issues and current research whenever and wherever possible. I also keep up to date with current research in educational psychology.
The first session would mainly involve identifying what the student wants to achieve from my support, and any specific areas they are struggling with. My method is more one to one and I use lots of imagery and diagrams as I find this the easiest way to get biological processes to make sense.
Do you want an experienced teacher/tutor? I fully recognise that students often need that additional support to achieve their full potential. I offer a first-class service from a highly regarded tutor - please do get in touch.
I love teaching and especially making a difference which I have done numerous times. I care about how people learn and have a particular focus on teaching in a way that is best for each individual. As we all learn differently and so I have a specific focus on making the learning relevant to each student.
My teaching method is very sociable and very understanding. I will use tips and tricks for my students that I personally used in my revision that are unique and work really well.
I'm currently studying at Aston University for Biomedical Science. I wanted to teach Biology in a way where it would be understandable for students who need help one to one. It can be very overwhelming starting A levels or GCSE's so I am very eager to help and offer my advice and guidance to you with regards to this subject.
I'm a very easy-to-get-along-with young man who is fresh out of university. I will happily teach you all you need to know about any of the scientific subjects (biology, physics and chemistry and mathematics) all of which I achieved As myself in at A level. I can also travel to your house if necessary and will explain any concepts you have any trouble with patiently and at your own pace.
I have been teaching for over 20 years. I enjoy teaching and my students enjoy my lessons. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths and Science as well as Special Needs. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a degree in Mathematics, A degree in Education and a Masters in Education. I have completed 2 years of my PhD in Education.
Lessons consist of one on one tuition with students of any age , each session will focus on one area of the national ciriculum in biology or a topic can be selected by the student. Each session the student will be taught the key concepts for understanding the subject matter before being shown the techniques for gaining full marks in examination answers.
I have a great enthusiasm for teaching and am committed to making sure all my students reach their potential. I take great care to ensure that I plan my lessons and tailor my tutoring methods to the needs and learning style of each of my students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach a range of GCSE subjects, as well as A/AS Level Politics, History and Biology.
My teaching method varies from student to student. Firstly I believe a sound knowledge of the subject should be attained which includes knowing the basics of each topic within the subject. After acquiring such knowledge I believe in building on these foundations so that each student reaches above and beyond their full potential.
Thorough lead in planning Interactive learning Accommodate visual learners Provide study notes Past papers and assessments tailored to specific learner
I like to understand my students first before I start teaching them. So, I like to know what is the best way to teach them and help them understand the subjects. Once I am aware of this I like to show them videos and give them questions to help them understand the topic. As well as this I like to make powerpoints to help students understand the concepts.
I base my classes on what would be fun to learn as well as give in depth look at what the kids are currently learning, which would help them gain a better understanding in their subject, sending them to the top if their classes. I also provide rigorous testing and time for feedback, to show improvement.
My teaching method is to focus on the topics that a student finds hard as many times as I'm asked
Hi! I'm a 22 year old graduate looking to do a PhD in Human Biology, and tutoring in my spare time. I am happy to tutor in any aspect of Human Biology from GCSE to degree level, and will adapt my teaching methods to suit the student. My general methods are based on looking attempting practise questions, looking at what the question is asking and focusing on evaluating the answer provided.
I approach my teaching tailored to each students learning style and need
I am passionate about teaching science, as it has limitless scope and with the right amount of enthusiasm, tickles the curiosity of children. I love working with pupils and helping them to fulfill their potential educationally.
My teaching method is deliver coherent powerpoints and explain the core concepts of the subject to the class.
I always maintain a calm, friendly, professional atmosphere when tutoring. I prepare material for each individual pupil depending on their needs. I am easy going, patient and work hard to build the pupils confidence with subject. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Chemistry - KS3, GSCE, AS - level & A - Level Biology - KS3, GCSE Physics - KS3, GCSE - Tell me about your qualifications.
My teaching method is to make sure the student is understanding what theyre reading and going through all the details and to make sure they understand do as many questions with them.
I believe that everyone learns differently so I am always open to teaching in different styles to help pupils learn effectively. I specialise in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level. I also deliver BTEC Level 3 Science. I often deliver content and then assess learning through exam practice or by pupils teaching back learnt content to me.
My teaching method is dependant on the students ability. Usually involving many examples and and angles. Diagrams and words also.
I believe Science is best taught by doing. Practicality is key. The methodology will be based on theoretical knowledge of fundamentals and most importantly, practicals (simulations, videos, other audiovisual aids).
My teaching method is a step by step method : Learning, Exercise and Apply with Practice, it is an interactive method and something very important, pleasure, you should make everything with pleasure
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (the recognised Higher Education teaching accreditation) and in 2018 completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (HE teaching qualification) at the University of Edinburgh.
My teaching method is trial and error I believe children learn things they are more involved in. Once they commit a mistake they will later remember it if they are repeatedly taught it.
My teaching methodology consists of teaching small topics in one lesson allowing the student to reflect, take notes and understand the topic before moving on to the next section.
I am happy to provide support to those doing their GCSE's, A-levels, or beginning their biology degree. I also have a background in Geography and so I would be able to involve that if needed. I can break down the subject into easily-digestible chunks and work closely to make sure that the student really understands it, in a lighthearted and friendly environment.
