I try to make my lesson as easy to follow as possible. I came out from a really hard place of being ill and studying in a same time, which gave me an ability to understand everything from books and explanation of others. During my placement year, I was required to supervise undergraduate students and teach them new lab techniques. In this scenario the teaching was heavily focused on visual teaching. I would first demonstrate a procedure, then describe it step by step, and then explain the process of the methodology at a molecular level.
