I like to plan my lessons so that students get a chance to build up their confidence in a topic in order for me to then stretch and challenge them in different and interesting ways. I use a variety of different tasks and activities to keep the lessons engaging and to allow students access to the information in different ways.
I help A level, GCSE students who want to achieve the best grades they can in maths/science-based subjects. I like to work through questions in order to identify what skills need improving. I like to try and explain difficult-to-remember or understand concepts by simplifying them into fun mnemonics.
My teaching method consists of taking each topic and breaking it down to the basics; making things nice and simple so even complex concepts can be understood. Then as the student’s understanding grows, more in-depth knowledge can be built up.
