Struggled in highschool but found my place at university. Can empathise with students experiencing the same. Followed most of my education abroad.
First of all, I would ask the student what topics they are currently studying in class, and approach each one by asking how confident they feel with it, which means I can assess how much time we should spend on each for the student to reach their full potential.
My teaching method is active learning. I would base my classes on lots of short mini quizzes, encouraging students to make their own and do lots of past papers. I approach each topic by breaking it down and relating it to the specification, going through step by step and then using your knowledge to make the points more concise.
I like using figures and if possible a book in my session. I like asking relevant questions and assess the level of understanding of the students to ensure the best outcome. Mostly, i summarise the last session to make sure the student can make the connection between different areas of the subject.
I tailor my lessons to everyone of students specifically. I approach teaching with a relaxed attitude where the student can really make the most out of every session without feeling bored or uncomfortable.
My teaching method is practicing exercise and reading to get more and more knowledge day by day. Taking the time of the studant.

From experience, I find that people have different ways of learning. Personally, I find that doing practice questions on the topic is most beneficial. However, this is not to say it's the only way. I would structure lessons by beginning with learning objectives as they're important in tracking progress.
