My teaching will help to gain a good understanding in knowledge and skills that are so useful in modern life, like GCSE English, Maths, Science, or sessions organised for the individual providing confidence and know-how with computers and websites. After A Levels success, I trained in basics of Ecology, then gained a degree in Psychology and Philosophy studies.
I will teach through examples and help students understand how to tackle maths and chemistry problems and help them learn the theory behind the examples.
I believe a person is able to achieve anything, as long as they are willing to work for it. My goal as a tutor is to help the student understand the subject by himself, by explaining the workings of things in an intuitive way. Once information is made "your own", one does not need to worry about remembering facts for they come naturally and logically as part of her understanding of the world.
I believe that teaching should be student oriented. In my opinion, having a single teaching methodology limits progress. I focus on understanding how each individual learns best and lean into that to the best of my ability. simplicity, enthusiasm and fun are also vital as it can be difficult to learn when you are not enjoying the subject.
My teaching methods are based on how the child learns. It can range from past paper questions to discussing subject topics in depth, I can really specialise methods based on the learners needs. I have very good knowledge of WJEC maths and triple and double science sylabus and a good amount of KS3 aswell.
Available on weekends. I help with explaining things that a pupil didn't understand at school, every pupil is different so I adjust the method to students, knowldge is always supported with homework and a lot of examples to make sure student will remember it longer that just a lesson.
Im not methodical when i teach. I prefer to speak about the material with my tutee, and pinpoint the issue together.
I study Materials Science and Engineering at Swansea University. I give lessons to GCSE and A level students. My lessons are built around the needs of each student. From baisc Algebra to derivatives/integration. Basic chemistry: from significant figures to Inorganic.
My teaching method is to explain every sing thing in the lecture to the student and then asked them some questions to make sure if they understood very well or not. My goal to make students very confident in Organic Chemistry.
I intend to isolate topics that students tend to struggle with (including subject matter that took me a while to understand when I did them) and then focus on explaining and practicing questions to ensure mastery on those topics.
studied for and was awarded a BA (Hons), and a Certificate of Postgraduate Study at Cambridge University between 1988 and 1993 in "Natural Sciences," specializing in Chemistry and Maths. I obtained a PhD from Birmingham University in Mathematical Chemistry in 1996. I did a lot of undergraduate teaching during this time.
I am PhD research student currently working in the field of Aerospace Engineering at Swansea University. I have a first class honours degree in MSc and BEng Aerospace Engineering at the University of Southampton. I have straight A*s in my Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A level. Among top 3% in the country and top 5 students in college.
My teaching method primarily consists of going through each section of the syllabus until a solid foundation of knowledge and confidence is built up with the student and completing questions and examples from past papers and from other learning resources.
My teaching style is very much pupil led. I aim to teach my pupils the skills they need to be successful independent learners. I also focus on exam/assessment preparation.
I provide lessons for KS5 level and below students in biology, chemistry and maths. I provide tutoring both on the old and new GCSE syllabus. In my lessons I aim to structure a lesson in which problems are outlined and solved within each session.
I not only have performed well at GCSE level myself, but I also have a junior sports leadership award and am CRB checked. In my lessons I will not only clarify any misunderstandings from the lessons, I will also provide challenging and thought provoking exercises to extend learning and increase grades.
I am currently located in the Swansea area and give lessons to GCSE and A level students. Chemistry isn't everyone's favourite subject! However when taught well it can be very fun and extremely interesting. I adapt my teaching style to the student as every student is different. In general I try to make the lessons as enjoyable, interactive and informative as possible.
Patience is the most important thing. Giving step by step instructions in a way that simple to understand. Practise questions from past exam papers. Come up with songs to help remember rules.
My teaching method is to break down topics into smaller, much more understandable chunks; and focus on areas of personal difficulty for the student. I try to do this in fun and creative ways, as more often than not science and maths are memory games and so making lessons more engaging ensures the students better remember methods and information.
The way I teach subjects depends on the subject itself. With Chemistry, we'd be using learning techniques that help increase your memory such as active learning (e.g using flashcards) and spaced repetition. With Maths, I would try to help you understand the basic concept first and do a lot of questions on that topic.
The way I teach, I begin with a test that covers a large range . This will just be used to identify strengths and weaknesses in the child's abilities. Then I'll work systematically through topics, cataloguing scores and times in a spreadsheet hopefully seeing improvement over a time period.
I am a biomedical science graduate and am also currently in my third year of studying medicine at Swansea university. My scientific background gives me confidence teaching the basic sciences up to GSCE level. I am to engage my students when I teach and I encourage as much interaction as possible.
During the session I will look at specific topics and areas the student wishes to address. I will help with revision strategies and past paper practice.
My teaching method is providing the relevant knowledge, using my unique revision materials which I have created myself, then using plenty of past exam questions to back up this knowledge.
I offer a simple step-by-step approach, first gaging your capabilities and weaknesses then, starting from the theoretical minimum, expanding on your capabilities and destroying your weaknesses.
The teaching I provide is tailored to each individual, with the structure of lessons being based on the tutee's needs and starting level. I provide a flexible timescale, being available on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
A Medical Genetics student in Swansea University with a good knowledge of Maths, Chemistry and Biology up to A level. Looking to help improve grades by working on weak areas with individuals and finding new ways to explain them. I'm a friendly, laid back individual so I want my lessons to be of a similar feel. I am happy to adapt teaching style and content to fulfill individual needs.
I am a patient and understanding tutor who believes that time and support are key to a pupil understanding a topic. Therefore, I provide worksheets and textbooks during sessions to aid students, and to ensure they can reach their full academic potential.
