I devise quarterly teaching plans for students to ensure complete coverage of the curriculum well before the end of the year to leave enough time for past papers and revision. For younger pupils I make sure that their lessons are fun and enjoyable. Regular progress checks are vital. I like to keep parents/guardians/fee payers well informed of progress.
Teaching method varies depending on the individual. Every individual is different and therefore different teaching methods must be employed ranging from practical to theoretical methods. I firstly observe the student's personality and cater a teaching method specially designed for them.

My teaching method is to build on existing knowledge, whatever the level. I often base my lessons of a few books which I recommend for the course. First in my lessons we will go over previously written notes then we build on that and explain in more detail. Then we will go through exam style questions to see the progress made in the lesson.

After discussion with each student, we will proceed with the techniques that will work best to progress learning and development.
Chemistry is the subject of discussion, not of memorising. I prefer to discuss the concepts in friendly way. In my 3 years of teaching experience, my students always found themselves more confident about the subject, and same will continue.
I take my job extremely seriously to obtain optimum results for my students. I teach via a pyramid scheme, starting off by building a solid foundation of subject knowledge, followed by my students being able to explain these key concepts thoroughly as well as polishing this knowledge with practice questions and regular assessments to improve exam technique and confidence.
My method depends on each individual as everyone learns differently but it varies from worksheets, going through textbooks and having some tests on topics.
I studied Chemistry at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2016 with a 2.1. I play and teach violin and viola, and tutor Maths and all three Sciences. In tutoring, I help my students find answers themselves, helping both understanding and recall.
I like to break down subjects to their basics to ensure a full understanding of it. I like to use videos, drawings and abbreviations in order to help understanding and memory of the subject I'm teaching, and have no problem with going over a subject several times in order for it to be understood.
My teaching methods are diverse, catering to the needs of my students. I believe learning should be fun, and so I try to incorporate as much creativity and analogies to get concepts across. My classes are also very interactive and student centred.
As I have mentioned before, I teach up to GCSE level. I cannot emphasize strongly enough, the importance of past papers and content knowledge, and I am here to help you with that. My methods include printing out the specification, going through the content first, asking questions, making sure the student understands it - then we will approach some past paper questions together.

I can teach students up till secondary school and any one else who needs help. My structure would first be to test and highlight your weaknesses and strengths and build upon that ; i believe we shouldn't just keep practicing something you may already know. I would first do lessons understanding the topic, then help you practise it and then examine t see what change it has made.
The key for me is to be patient with the student, to get them to explain their thought process whilst solving problems and to get them to deduce the solutions themselves. I do not believe in spoonfeeding students the correct answers as this approach is ultimately unsustainable.
