My teaching method very much on what is personally wanted from you. Depending on the level and the focus I can go generally into what the tutee will find interesting at that time or it can be more geared towards examinations, looking at specific content and working through past papers.
So far I have taught at homes but would be happy to use Skype aswell. I usually ask that my students bring a list of topics they are most unsure on and we can try example questions together and then work on exam/practice questions. However the work we do can vary depending on personal needs .
am a qualified Post-Compulsory Education teacher with over 10 years working experience teaching Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications related to Science and Maths in FE and Sixth Form Colleges. I have a strong scientific, technological and mathematics knowledge acquired from achieving a Chemical Engineering degree and carrying out scientific research in Physical Chemistry.
Having been tutored myself in my A-levels I have a feel for what works and engages tutees. I like to start off by either giving a mini test to the student to identify weak areas- or if that seems a bit daunting, I would just have a chat with the student about what they would like to focus on. I always end the lesson with a few questions to really make sure we have covered the topic at hand.

I like to let my students lead what lessons they need, be that based on a homework or a particular topic that they haven't understood that week. Each student needs a different speed of learning, if you do not understand something the first time, then I will find a new way of explaining it until you do.
Depending on the student, I would try and approach learning in a way that they respond best to. Ideally I'd start by trying multiple different approaches, to then plan the tutoring accordingly. This, I feel would be the most successful application of knowledge.
I base my teaching methods on each individual student, identifying areas of weakness or gaps in knowledge and improving those areas with the goal of working through exam questions with confidence in all aspects of the syllabus. I tutor in all maths and science areas up to GCSE and biology, maths and chemistry up to A level.
I approach my student/ class with independent tasks based on there needs and offer support throughout and pinpointing areas of weakness making them a strength Any length lesson is applicable I’m fully flexible Contact: 07(concealed information) Email: (concealed information)
Tutoring is different from teaching in a classroom situation. It's important to guage accurately the starting point of the concepts to be covered. The subject will have been taught before and it's important to initially know where misunderstandings have occurred. Sometimes it necessary to teach it from a different angle. Sometimes just practice to gain confidence.
I will begin by having a brief discussion with students as to where they think they are within their course, what their strengths and weaknesses are, what they find most interesting and enjoyable and which areas they do not enjoy.
