I have a somewhat alternative approach to education and learning. I very much like to couple education and physical activity and make sure my student is fully concentrated on their studies in my sessions. I strive to give them a holistic understanding of the subject so they can equate it to real life experiences.
I assess the individual needs of the students I teach and work with them to put together a personalised package of tuition
I use a variety of teaching methods, taking into consideration that students have different learning styles. I cater for the visuals, Auditory and those who are more inclined to practicals. I also take the student's back ground into consideration.
I tailor to your way of learning. I always have exam questions to give on the topics we cover each session. I have access to many resources which I can email you. I also offer a quick response Whatsapp service for help on homework and exam questions.
My teaching method is to first teach the student about the topic followed by exam questions to consolidate that learning
In lessons, my aim is for my students to think independently and learn to become a critical thinker. As my sessions are structured as more of a discussion, I encourage students to be honest about how they're coping with the work. I emphasise the importance of meeting the examination boards' specific criteria to pass the exam. Regular assessments allow me to gauge how students are progressing.
My teaching method begins with students reflecting on their strengths and weaknesses. This allows me to tailor their lessons personally and begin with focusing on their weaknesses to begin with. I also focus on instilling confidence in my students as I am aware of the academic pressure students face to perform well under exam stress.
My teaching method is to teach them modulas being done at school, ensure that the children read and memorise as homework and give them lots of practice papers to do.
Hello, I'm kirsty I'm a post graduate student at the university of Sheffield. Currently studying for a PhD in chemistry and molecular biology. I want to share my passion for chemistry by encouraging pupils to get into science. I am currently working part time as an academic tutor. Previously I have tutored AQA and OCR A-level chemistry, as well as GCSE triple science.
I am 23 year old Graduate in chemistry and am looking to tutor kids up to the ages of 17 . I have tutored pupils in their GCSE's and below. From this have managed to help them to obtain their desired grades to go to the college of their choice. I will effectively listen to all pupils to help them maximise their true potential.
My teaching method is usually tailor made according to the students capacity of grasping and understanding.
Be positive and believe in yourself at all times . - Which subject(s) do you teach? KS3/ GCSE/AS / A2 / Oxbridge Chemistry . UKCAT BMAT GCSE Maths and Physics . - Tell me about your qualifications. BSc . Hons Chemistry PGCE (Chemistry) Secondary Specialism - Science . - How much do you charge? £30 per hour for any post-16 tuition . £25 per hour for any other tuition .
All my pupils will have access to the mdr science learning zone. This enables them to study and learn outside of class and specifically trains pupils to succeed in the Cambridge IGCSE Physics and Chemistry exams. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Physics and Chemistry. I specialise in Cambridge IGCSE.
I primarily tutor to GCSE level but can teach to A-level privately. My lessons follow the format of: Theory, interesting application or use and exam practice to familiarise my students with the style of questions. I am a silly, energetic and passionate tutor who will push you to be the best you can be.
The most important thing is that everyone is different and requires a different approach. In fact, the first thing I would like a tutee to do is a personality test (it really is important). Other things apart from personality are also important. For instance, in junior high school, one of my friends had attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, which made tutoring bit challenging.
Having being taught in many different settings with varying teaching methods, I would like to adapt what I have learnt to suit the needs of each student. Through explanations, drawing, (even dancing if I must), I want to help achieve the full potential of each student.
I have interest in learning, but a passion for spreading my knowledge. We have all been in that stage where school gets a bit of a pain. However, I was fortunate enough to have teachers who changed my perspective towards learning completely. Since then I have felt the urge to help others see it differently. This started with helping my friends and juniors.
I am very friendly and interactive with all my students. I believe they will be able to absorb the content easily if I have a very friendly more personal approach towards them rather than using conventional teaching methods. In addition being a student myself studying the same things not too far back I am certain I will be able to put myself in their shoes and identify their problems effectively.
My teaching methodology is reinforcing the basic facts surrounding a theory in order to fully understanding it, and that in doing something you learn it faster! This involves example problems to every piece of theory in order to really bring it together and help to grasp a broad range of chemical ideas.
I can teach any student who wants to learn GCSE, KS3, KS2 and KS1 maths, Physics and Chemistry. I am a very friendly person with a calm and friendly approach; as I am a student myself I can understand the common areas students may struggle in.
Teaching mathematics and the core sciences to GCSE level has given me vast knowledge and experience in delivering lessons in the most effective way. This has enabled me to greatly develop my teaching methods so that complex ideas can be simplified and taught to the student, thus making the learning more easier and enjoyable.
I plan tutorials which reflect the student's level of understanding, with all tutees having access to notes, including suggested exam questions, which they can annotate, or use as a memory-aid following the tutorial. A focus on practice questions allows students to gain confidence with the exact problems they'll see in the exams.
I am a university student studying chemistry. I have studied science and maths based subjects at GCSE and A level. I have a few years of experience as a tutor and create lessons targeted to a students specific ability and learning style.
I am a 3rd year physics student at the University of Sheffield offering tutoring in maths and physics up to and including A Level. I structure my lessons on a topic to topic basis following the subject level syllabus closely. During each lesson i provide the student with typical exam questions and together we build a model answer to be written on the reverse side of a flash card.
I use a topic-by-topic methodology in teaching individual and groups of students. I also use case-type questions to facilitate learning.
Firstly, I make lessons fun and interesting (for both of your sakes)! I have given lessons to a variety of audiences, from GCSE through to degree level.
I base my classes based on each individual needs. Still though give full explanation of each topic...
I like to take lessons at the students pace and discuss what they want to get out of each session and together create an aim to reach. Then I like to go through what the student knows to locate and straighten out any misconceptions or gaps they may have.
I have recently completed a master's in chemistry, meaning I have recently been through the school system and have a reasonable idea of how to succeed. I am a patient and helpful person who is mainly aiming to help students at an A level or GCSE level in chemistry , biology, physics and maths.
