I always start with a 'get to know' meeting where I learn about student's expectations and his/her abilities/problems.. I don't charge for this meeting. I only accept on-line sudents - Which subject(s) do you teach? A-level Chemistry, any UK board. - Tell me about your qualifications.
My teaching methodology is very simplistic and straightforward. I like to teach a specific way of doing an equation for example and then do realistic questions from exam papers to best prepare a student for that particular subject.
Very active and energetic approach to teaching, I like to include the student as much as possible in class exercises. I also prefer to guide a student to an answer rather than tell how to get to it. As a chemical engineering student I have strong Maths, Chemistry and Physics skills and teach at GCSE level.
I am a high achieving student who has just completed my GCSEs and achieved 10A* and 2A grades. I am studying further maths, maths, economics and physics at A level. I will provide a comprehensive understanding of maths, all sciences, Latin, Greek, geography and business studies.
My teaching method is related on understand what are the difficulties of my students have and work on it to present it back to then on a easy way to be understood. I don't have a specific methodoligy and, as each student is unique, I tailor all lesson as they need it.
I have been teaching for over 10 years in schools in Spain. My lessons focus on how to understand, synthesise and solve the typical mathematics and physics problems, especially those that you will face in GSCE and A-level. And you will learn how to tackle them efficiently to cope with the usual time constrains of the exams.
I am Assistant Head Teacher at a high achieving independent secondary school and have 35 years experience teaching and tutoring students from age 11 to 18. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I offer Science tuition at GCSE and A-level and Maths tuition at GCSE. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a PGCE with QTS
 (Qualified Teacher Status).
I am a recent graduate from Imperial College London in Biochemistry/Biotechnology with Management. I want to help students with mathematics and the sciences. I believe every student has their own optimum way of learning, and thus I will structure my lessons accordingly.
Natural Sciences (BSc) graduate (combined Biology and Geography) available to tutor lessons in either Biology, Chemistry or Geography to secondary, GCSE or AS/A-Level standard. Qualifications: - Natural Sciences (BSc) - Durham University - 1st Class - A-Levels in Biology (A), Chemistry (A), and Geography (A*) - 10 GCSEs (A*-B) including Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
I am a Biomedical Sciences student at University of Bath but originally from North London. I have been a tutor for GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and History for a year now and am currently teaching AS Level Biology and Chemistry while at university. I consider myself to be a very approachable and a friendly character; and have had a lot of experience with children.
I can help any high school student who is currently preparing for chemistry exams. Come to me with your difficulties and I will make sure that you understand the concepts in and out! The way I work is that you tell me what you would like to tackle before our session (i.e. the topics that are bothering you) and I will prepare adequate material and explanation that fit your needs.
I approach each student by assessing which topic they are having the most trouble with and then looking for books or online resources that could help them gain a greater understanding of it. I have a very outgoing and friendly personality and would make sure that the student would feel comfortable communicating with me.
I am currently a post-A level student on a gap year. I can deliver lessons up to A level. I will be able to cover any required content in detail, and go through past papers and exam questions. I can also help with revision material closer to internal and external exams.
I plan to go through exam questions with students and explain the fundamentals of the subject using verbal and written methods. I have past experience with the stress of exams and will make my students feel as comfortable as possible.
I am a Science teacher with 15 years of classroom teaching experience. I have a BSc and a PGCE in secondary Science. It is my aim to help students who are having problems with Science to overcome their difficulties and raise their attainment.
I aim to focus on covering each topic of a subject in depth whilst also emphasising those all important exam techniques. It's important, however, to make sure students don't get bored of a topic simply because they do not understand it.
I tailor my lessons to the individual student, by first reviewing the material, finding gaps in their knowledge and teaching to those gaps. As well as theory lessons, I give lots of questions so that students understand how to answer questions in the exam. I can tutor up to and including GCSE level and can offer advice for A-level students.
I am a young research academic with a phD in organic chemistry and offer lessons, tutoring and consultancy to academic levels. My session structure is individually tailors to the student / client and aims to be as interactive as possible.
As a fully qualified secondary school science teacher my methodology is structured and includes regular assessment. We can study entire topics or pin point areas of weakness. Following this, I follow up with assesssment to check understanding as well as the ability to access all marks available in a mark scheme e.g. six mark question practice.
I am a big believer in analogies. Once I find a fitting analogy that makes sense to my student I can make the most complex of topics fun, engaging and easily understood! All while keeping a close eye on the curriculum to ensure relevance.
I always start with a free assessment, to get to know you and devise a topic list to work through. I tailor the sessions to you, but a typical session will start with me helping you understand school work that you have not been able to complete, or mistakes you are unable to rectify. I then will deliver a tailored session to you, working through the list of topics you need help with.
My teaching method is first to understand the level of knowledge the other person is on. From that can be built the foundation for how to understand higher concepts of science. The more inexperienced the student is the more analogies to real life are needed to teach the subject, and as they progress the less they are required and knowledge can be further built upon knowledge.
Learning chemistry is fun...I love applying different approaches based on each one of my student ability making sure we find the best way of learning.
My teaching method is based on each topic's difficulty and I try to use my own relevant and useful books and notes which gave me a success
I am a professional tutor, I operate as a sole trader under the name One to One Tuition. I have provided one to one support successfully to clients in and around Bristol since 2004. - Which subject(s) do you teach? One to One Tuition supports primary pupils in all core subjects. At Key Stage 3 and GCSE Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Business Studies are covered.
I believe it's important to listen to the student's experience when initially establishing the appropriate strategy and intervention. Through this I am able to work out precisely what and where the student has been struggling, or how they would like more help. Talking this through also gives me an idea of how the student learns and processes information most effectively.
My style of teaching is focused on process of learning rather than on the correctness of the answer. One important thing I have learned along the way is to be patient and provide appropriate 'think' time. Ask leading questions to help students learn and understand the material. Also, relate successful study strategies to the tutee.
I'm Josh, a chemistry PhD student at the University of Bristol, who also obtained a masters degree in chemistry from the University of Oxford. I've always enjoyed science, but it was during the early stages at a-level that I knew I wanted to focus on chemistry.
-I teach lessons to GCSE and A-level students. -Topic explanations and conceptual understanding aim to first be met in lessons through visualization diagrams followed by examples of their applications in real life and finishing off with some example past paper questions. -I rely on making sure students gain a deep understanding of concepts rather than regurgitating notes and equations.
I am a 3rd Year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at University of Bristol, that enjoy meeting people and have been always passionate to teach other student and help them get through exams by simplifying stuff.
