We have extensive experience in delivering high quality teaching to enable each child to learn effectively. We are teachers who have over 20 years teaching experience and know how to ensure children can make progress. - Which subject(s) do you teach? We can teach 11+ skills, Non verbal reasoning, Verbal reasoning, mathematics and English. We can also teach GCSE Maths and Science.
My methodology is based on practice questions and problems, because at the end of the day my students sit exam papers.
I am a sixth form student and dedicate a lot of time to helping students in lower years, such as year 11's, when preparing for their GCSE's by providing support on not only effective revision methods, which I've picked up through recent experience, but also with detailed knowledge relating to the subjects.
I prefer to teach students face-to-face as I believe this will not only bring more confidence in the students, but I am able to deduce the key aspects that the students need to improve on. I always start by asking what they learn in school, and whether they understand what they were taught.
I like to break each topic down into its simplest parts and then show the links between each part to develop a full understanding. I find that it is easier to learn if you have a solid understanding of the basics to build upon, which is often rushed in class.
I can approach many different aspects of the topics. I go through past papers to get exam practice and highlight the weak areas of the subject for each student. I can adapt my teaching to how the student likes to learn e.g through flash cards, mnemonics or read and repeat. I am very helpful, relaxed and approachable for any help.
I'm a Durham University student graduating this June looking to tutor GSCE students over the summer in Maths and Science subjects. I have a friendly teaching style aiming to improve the student's maths and science knowledge in an engaging way. I'm willing to listen to the problems individual student's may have and focus on them to help them improve.
I am a current A-Level Science, Maths and Further Maths student looking to pursue a career in the sciences. As such, I would ideally be giving lessons to current Maths or science GCSE students (or FSMQ) , involving practice papers, help with any homework, course content or classwork and exam guidance.
I do not pretend to be a qualified teacher or tutor, but I enjoy explaining concepts and have a strong understanding of IB and iGCSE/GCSE syllabi as well as KS3 and below. My approach is interactive, friendly and flexible. Being in school currently means that I realise, and have probably experienced, many of the challenges of these exams, and approach them with a student's perspective.
My teaching style focuses on understanding the principles behind the topic and question comprehension. Many people struggle in the sciences do to the prevalence `why` questions in the exams. These questions not only require subject knowledge but also an understanding of what the question itself is asking, not an easy skill.
separate and result oriented material and work material prepared after assessment and as per target to be acheived, one to one help available, tailored to improve your weaknesses, result oriented, will surely improve grades at any level you study with me indeed.
I am able to cover every aspect from GCSE, yet for languages only Spanish and Turkish. At A-levels I've studied Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Psychology. Along with being 'left-brained' I have learned many flaws and many uplifts in the education system that has enabled me to only focus on the most essential things that the exam boards ask for.
I truly believe the best way to learn is very much dependent on the student. Some students prefer to read and make notes, some like watching videos or looking at diagrams and others prefer practice questions. I would like to help students to understand the best way of learning for them so I will try different methods until we find the best one.
