I immediately begin to assess a students strengths, weaknesses and pick up on their comfort with each topic within the subject. By first reviewing topics the student particularly enjoys or is talented in, they are instantly more confident, I can then determine the candidates concerns and interests.
There are many difficult topics and areas to understand in both Maths and Chemistry and it can be very frustrating for a student when he/she doesn't get how to do it first time. My methods of teaching involve deeper understanding, teaching the student the essential information or technique which will allow them to apply this in any scenario or question.
I understand that different subjects, and indeed topics within a subject require different mechanisms for learning.
I try to structure my lessons around the student. They are there to fill in gaps so it is important that it comes from the student what they need to go over and learn. An essential part of learning is being able to explain it back so I am a big fan of quizzes whilst the student explains their answers at the end of lessons.
I am a big believer in analogies. Once I find a fitting analogy that makes sense to my student I can make the most complex of topics fun, engaging and easily understood! All while keeping a close eye on the curriculum to ensure relevance.
My teaching method is to prepare the students for the exam , I teach them how to efficiently achieve the target grade they want and keep stress at minimum, my approach to exams is tactical which includes analysis of past papers for the exam and prediction of possible topics that will come up in the exam.I like to teach in a friedly way and keep lessons entertaining.
My teaching is student centred and based around the needs of the student. I can teach all ability students from pre-GCSE up to A-level. As a tutor, I am charismatic, pragmatic, patient and resilient. I use a variety of ways to engage students, from electronic to traditional.
I give lessons to young children , children with special needs and university students in their first and second year. A levels students are welcome too.
I pride myself in being able to break down concepts and making them less abstract for my students. Additionally, I ensure that pupils are shown the relevance of what they are learning and how it links to other subject areas. I ensure that I scaffold anything that i teach to ensure that pupils progress with confidence in easy and manageable steps.
My teaching methods vary from student to student. Individually personalised and taylored tutoring to meet the specific needs and targets of the students and parent. I am passionate motivated and strongly driven to put it what ever it takes to help my students not matter there needs. I am well organised and believe structure is the key to achieving any goals.
I would like to tutor AS level or below students. I try to maintain a fun and low pressure environment i which you can learn and understand a subject further. My main goal is to get each student where they want to be.
My teaching method is to focus on one topic per lesson to ensure sufficient detail is covered. In addition, after a few sessions covering similar topics I like to do summary lessons and short tests to identify what has learnt well, what hasn't and why.
I focus on the weak points of a student and help develop these factors, I also advise the student on methods and tasks they can use to help with examinations. I have a flexible methodology depending on the students level.
My method of teaching varies depending on the student, as I believe each person learns differently. I approach lessons in a variety of ways from discussing topics and slowing building up ideas by allowing the student to piece things together themselves, to using past paper questions and practice questions in the textbook/on the internet.
Tailored to the individual needs of each student, the topics covered in Science/Maths are broad and the strengths and weaknesses of each student is different. I firmly believe that not everyone learns in the same way and so offer fully customisable tutoring to help work through the areas that students struggle with.
Mine would be very hands on, walking you through the basics and walking you to a level where you would be confident with the whole course. I feel context helps with learning so a discussion of the course would be included as well as my own experiences with the experiments I may have performed that are related.
My sessions are tailored to help you reach your goals as a learner, whether that is securing the grades you need for further study or building your confidence in a subject. As well as teaching subject knowledge, I have an emphasis on practicing exam technique and learning "transferable skills" that you can take forward into any other studies and the workplace.
Whenever I begin teaching students I try to use their preferred learning styles (more practical based, listening based, or writing based). I am confident in giving lessons up to GCSE level by using these methods. I plan each lesson ahead of time and hone onto whatever the student needs to help them to progress through their studies.
I am a Chemistry student at the University of Leicester in my second year. I have a a good background in Maths and Chemistry, having completed Further Maths at GCSE and Maths + Chemistry at A Level. I teach GCSE, KS2 and KS3 maths, and also GCSE Chemistry as these are my areas of expertise. I like to follow the syllabus so all the required knowledge is learnt and understood, to help in exams.
I believe that every student has the potential to succeed and so I will equip you with enough knowledge to attempt the problems and then will provide constructive feedback in order to perfect your knowledge and learn from everything you do.
My teaching method is to provide information to students for them to write down in their own words best suited and tailored to each individual.
As a chemistry PhD student with a passion for science and mathematics I am able to teach GCSE students and help them pass exams. I prefer to focus on exam style questions and teach areas in which these questions have provided difficulty to students.
The kind of tutoring I will be offering will be a mix of understanding based exercises/ teaching and exam technique. This way you will be able to walk into the exam confident that to know what you need to know and exactly how you are going to answer the questions to display everything you have learned that year.
Principally, I am results-focused for the students to reach their individual subject goal. To enhance the learning experience, I do like to keep the tuition enthusiastic, upbeat and enjoyable - using plenty of worked examples and pictures/diagrams/practical demos.
I usually teach GCSE for Physics, Chemistry and Maths. I also teach Chemistry and Maths for A-level. The way I teach my students is through notes, videos of real life applications and lots of questions. The lesson will usually have a quick review of the previous session, then some explanation of the new topic and then questions to consolidate everything.
Lessons are friendly and relaxed - tailored to the individual student, their wishes and needs. It can sometimes be daunting for parents and students to take on a tutor - my approach will put your mind at ease. Lessons involve a variety of teaching techniques - exploring concepts in great details, memory games and examination techniques are just a few.
My teaching method will depend on how you learn best, I myself learn in different ways depending on the subject at hand therefore I can create various ways to teach. I do prefer to demonstrate then work together on it to assist in confidence in the subject before you work on your own with me there if needed.
I am currently a biochemistry student willing to teach biology and chemistry at the level of A-levels. Tutoring sessions will include encouragement, patience and personalised study for students. A variety of studying styles will be used, such as practice questions and mind mapping.
My teaching method is based around the fact that to be engaged you have to enjoy the subject matter, so I try to merge having fun with learning maths.
I aproach each topics by delivering the key facts/main points first and then build up on each topic with challenging questions which will require the application of the knowledge learned so that the students fully understand the topic. Additionally, I like to start with the basics and build up the difficulty level to push a students ability.
