Science needs to make sense to young people. For this reason, I prefer to teach science in way that is relevant to them by allowing them to to apply what they are learning to real life. Learning also needs to be memorable and fun. Which is why I incorporate games to solidify learning. Closer to the exam period, I focus on exam technique so that students can gain confidence in this area.
I teach to students up to A Level and I have a thorough understanding of all levels up to this. I prefer to work flexibly with my students, understanding their learning style and planning my lessons around that. Often I will do guided examples and then encourage independent work before marking the students' work collaboratively.
Dear Parents and Students, I am 26 years old, I teach because I enjoy it and I love teaching. Tutoring is my passion along with many other aspects of life which include investing, public speaking and volunteering. - Which subject(s) do you teach? A - Levels - Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computing. GCSE - Maths, All Sciences, ICT, Computing, Economics.
I prefer to teach one on one, but I can teach groups just as easy. I try to tailor the teaching to the student's individual need and learning styles.
I am looking to give lessons to GSCE level individuals. My lesson structures are based around a package design or a lesson by lesson basis. I am always positive and supportive during lessons. Feedback will always be given and asked for by myself. During each lesson I always give time to focus on the well-being of the student and to give helpful tips on dealing with stress, anxiety and motivation.
I will work through any problems with you and tailor teaching to what is required. I can help with sample questions and understanding key concepts.
Understanding is crucial to success, especially in academia. I try to ensure that the basic and key concepts are understood instead of teaching a process. Through this, a student is able to adapt the knowledge and handle any problem they may encounter.
My teaching method is to introduce, develop and then recap because I believe the key to learning is in repetition, learning something once will not guarantee success.
My teaching method is to teach the lesson and give homework for consolidation and also I do prolonging of my work so children can learn in the long run. I do extensive planning and I am very understanding to those low ability students especially.
I am open to tutor any level, and happy to work around my student's needs. I know learning a new topic can be overwhelming, so I will break it down into manageable and easy to learn chunks. I will provide extra worksheets/ homework/ tests.
The structure of my tutoring sessions aims to go through different topics of a subject, helping the students build up a bank of notes which are simple, yet contain the relevant information to be referred back to in revision.
I feel that the best way for people to learn is to initially identify any weakness and work through problems together, giving them confidence to work through these independently. Following the curriculum is key, therefore it's important to look through examples of past exam papers and current work from their teachers to ensure they are going to achieve the best possible grades.
I feel that I can offer a fresh and innovative way of teaching as I have been through the exams recently myself. Whether it is going over practice questions or past papers, going over all contents in the syllabus or just covering specific topics which are not understood, I love sharing my knowledge to those who want it.
MY METHODOLOGY IS TO MAKE STUDENTS UNDERSTANDS THEIR PROBLEMS IN CLEAR WAY AND TO CLEAR THEIR CONCEPTS BY APPROACHING TO THEIR LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDINGS .I AM HAPPY TO GIVE LESSONS TO ANY LEVEL FROM GCSE TO COLLEGE STUDENTS AND AS A TUTOR I AM VERY FRIENDLY AND EAST TO TALK AND ALWAYS HELP OUT MY STUDENTS AT THE BEST OF MY COMPETENCIES .
My teaching method involves staying close to the specification to ensure all necessary knowledge is learnt, but also trying to get students to gain a deeper, genuine understanding of the ideas. I also like to coach them in answering exam questions concisely to ensure full marks, resulting in excellent performance in exams.
Everyone learns in different ways and at different rates- as a result the structure of my lessons will largely depend on you and how you learn.
I belive that I have a unique style of studying/teaching that is going to actualy be functional rather than trying to go over 1000 flash cards the night of a test. I am very confident with numbers and can help you understand them rather than than fear them. I can help you approach number differently, to be able to visualise them and help with the tricky problem solving questions.
I always approach on a conceptual basis for any topic in my related subject and applies a simple a explained technique about the particular topic. I use a simple example to relate each topic and their application for future use.
In agreement with the tutee lesson structures are centred to what is best for them and how they enjoy learning. Making the content simple and easy to understand. Then applying the knowledge they have learnt into a practical problem for them to figure out.
My approach to tutoring would be to first help my students to understand the knowledge and facts based off the exam board specification, as this is the key to passing those all important exams. After I am happy that my students have a good understanding of the topic, I would focus on going through past papers and exam questions.
I would first find out what the student knows and go from there. Depending on the type of hurdle we'll be attempting, either drawing up practise questions or simply finding new ways to explain old concepts would be two of my approaches. With GCSE and A-level, often the results come from a deep understanding of core concepts and then lots of practise implementing them.
My teaching method is based mainly on the curriculum and the relevant text books and relate these to daily life and make the informations easy to absorb. I would like to help students up to GCSE level and really discuss after every knowledge that we learn what they think they've learnt and what actually should be remembered for the exams and how we can relate to these details.
I will be teaching my students in an interactive way. They will be also given questions afterwards on the topics they have learnt in the lesson.
I will initially find out who has been previously introduced to a topic. Then if some people haven’t I will give them a brief description of the topic and then decipher how much of an understanding everyone has of the topic.
I try to teach maths by showing the different and most easiest techniques that can be used to solve certain problems and I also provide end of topic tests to make sure that the student has understood the topic and can move onto the next.
My teaching method is focussing on whatever helps each individual student learn, if you are a visual learner, my lessons will be very visual based etc. I am an incredibly determined individual and will work my hardest to help you reach the grades you deserve.
I approach each topic carefully ensuring the students will understand completely, then move onto more challenging questions and exam practice, to ensure no question can throw the students off the ball. I feel exam practice is key for a good score in any exam at any level.
I have been giving lessons to a secondary school student via Skype, I am delighted to continue giving lessons from home via Skype or meet personally somewhere in London. My lessons are based on my students, as I do not intend to do extra specific preparations but solve problems and point out weak spots together.
I go topic by topic and make sure the student has mastered the content and has plenty of practice in each topic before they move onto the next to ensure there are no gaps filled. I always encourage the student to practice, practice and practice as this is what gets you the A*.
My teaching philosophy is that pedagogic activities should be always based on real life relevance and students could refer to their own previous personal experiences. My teaching practices always aim at empowering students to take ownership of their education and helping them realize that they are responsible for their learning outcomes and successes.
