I am a recent graduate from Aston university where I studied biological sciences. My guitar experience is valuable to anybody just starting off and to anyone intermediate. My lessons normally begin with just some jamming to loosen up the strings and fingers. Then we would get into learning some basic chords and some diminished chords.

Guitar tutor teaching basic music theory plus Classical, Jazz and Guitar accompaniment.

When teaching Classical guitar for beginners I generally follow the Grades of ABRSM as a guideline to progress. I also use ensemble playing from the beginning so the student gains confidence quickly. For jazz there must be an emphasis on harmony in order to understand the structure of a Jazz compositions.
