My teaching methods will vary depending on the needs of my student. I am a firm believer in active learning where students can apply what they learn to their own environment. Each learner is an individual so my methods would reflect their ability and learning style.

Thank you for visiting my page. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss tuition further.
I approach topics by encouraging tutees to take their own time on questions or tasks to start off with, and then, once a basic understanding of how the question or task should be approached is attained, I will slowly help them increase the speed and reliability with which they can do it.
I tailor my lessons specifically to the texts to be taught and how the student responds to each text. This can mean breaking down the texts into different sized areas of note to make sure that a high level of understanding is achieved. Quality discussion and debating with the student is essential to ascertain a full knowledge of the texts and subject areas.

An internationally awarded & recognised, fun, friendly and hardworking tutor, who's on your side when it comes to exams and school. We're a team, and I'm going to help you succeed. Let's do this.
I strive to build a student's confidence so they can learn how to become successful without self-doubt. I apply a growth-mindset to my lessons so students will persist in achieving outstanding results. With lower level students, I give them a realistic view of what they can hope to achieve and the tools needed to get there. I also place importance on revision techniques and tips.
I have been tutoring since 2008 and have been tutoring in 11+/private school entrance exams. I will cater to your child`s needs, according to their abilities/motivations. I teach students of all ages and teach English, maths and Science.
I teach 11+ Creative Writing, helping students to organize and structure their ideas, plots, how to develop action and build up suspension and how to reach a satisfactory solution.
I tutor all primary pupils for all general subjects (English, Maths, Science, Handwriting, religious Studies). My teaching method is to start off by sharing my passion for learning. Making learning seem fascinating and not 'boring'. I want my student’s voice to be heard more than my own. This allows my students to not tune out and lose interest.
I do not believe in being overly didactic and encourage each student to become involved in, and establish agency over, their own particular learning journey.
I change my teaching style based on the students needs. I like to encourage independence and enable confidence.
I am NOT a disciplinarian. An informal, calm, undemanding atmosphere is my preference, and as teaching is my passion I often remain as long as necessary without acceleration of cost. For example, if I stay for 80 minutes then I will still only cost an hour. My teaching method includes asking what my student wishes to improve upon after identifying their strengths.
I start my planning by considering the students' needs and their best method of learning. I am an expert at diffentiation and ensuring that all the students are comfortable and confident in the classroom. I use a variety of methods so students are motivated and challenged embed learning with lots of progress checks.
My teaching method is to use an assessment-focussed approach. This does NOT mean having students write frequent long monotonous essays but rather allowing for constant opportunities for students to demonstrate knowledge through AFL (assessment for learning) tasks. Essays are used only to measure progress at three-week intervals. I base my classes on breaking topics down into digestable chunks.
I worked as a theatre & creative arts professional for many years before qualifying as a teacher. I believe that a basic grounding in communication and creative thinking techniques and strategies holds well in all situations. I offer these to all. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Drama, English, Performing Arts, Expressive Arts, Communication and Presentation Skills. Improvisation.
I can teach anyone under 16, whether it be for SATS or GCSEs, my style of teaching is based on student's needs, mini-tests to cover topics that we will have covered, I find mindmaps and notes very effective however if this is not for the student, I can do something more practical to help them. A main teaching style of mine is looking at the criteria needed for certain levels and nailing that down.
I believe I am a patient, encouraging and supportive tutor. I consistently communicate with my students and their parents or carers to ensure they receive the exact tuition they require. As a tutor I believe in fostering confidence, independence and critical thinking in my students- encouraging them to always take responsibility for their own learning.
Teaching is my third and final career and I love it. I get on extremely well with students of all ages and abilities and enjoy watching their confidence and competence develop quickly as they begin to achieve more than they thought possible.
My mentoring method is all about harnessing enthusiasm and dispelling some of the many myths about the creative process. Creative writing is all about employing systems to enable an idea to grow and structure themselves and I have learnt exciting painless ways to do this that are within the scope of most first-time writers.
I develop understanding and skills, so students become confident in all aspects of English. My friendly style, high expectations and 20+ years experience means everyone enjoys my lessons, makes good progress and achieves excellent results.
