I base my classes on my students goals, helping them over the process with fun and interesting way of learning. I like to second my classes with a short introduction on art history and the different styles of painting that might benefit the students.
The art of story telling, paneling, how to use perspective, from the basics to the tricks and tips that a lot of artists use. depending on you and your level; we'll start with how to organize your thoughts and ideas into a clear story, we'll talk about character design and how to sharpen your skills, the medium you wish to use; traditional or digital and how to use it.
Depending on the skill level and experience of the student we will do basic lessons indoor - followed by more advanced lessons in public locations - based on natural observations - and the most advanced lessons through imagination and literary descriptions of the buildings around us.
My method of teaching is to encourage the creativity and style within each student to grow, so each student it able to find their own outlook on art. I offer help with putting together GCSE and A-Level Art sketchbooks, and coming up with ideas for exam pieces.

I studied Illustration at Art School in Dundee and have over 20 years experience as an illustrator, caricaturist and portrait artist for various magazines and newspapers. As for tutoring, I patiently give step by step lessons for the total beginner and the more advanced student alike. With my guidance and encouragement, he or she will gain confidence to develop a personal style of artwork.
My teaching method revolves around basic drawing ability using dry media, technique and the tools used therein rather than painting or artist study. I spend each of my lessons (usually an hour) focusing on a particular technique, setting light homework between lessons as a review.
