I am a sixth form student who has been drumming for years, starting to teach other students methods of drumming and how to enjoy playing the drums. I prefer to let the student do all the drumming while I give advice.
Over the years of experience I've had, I felt hearing and feeling a piece of music really allows any musicians to learn without realising. Collecting musical ideas from various genres around the world is our source of information although everybody needs a guide. My primerial focus will always be on music and feel, technique and performance.
My teaching method is personal to each student and I try to teach useful, practical methods and techniques which can be applied to all aspects of drumming. I provide a comfortable, insightful and enjoyable teaching environment to give students the most out of their lessons.
My teaching method consists of a Show and repeat system, I like to show the learner how to play a rhythm or beat first and then have them try for themselves.
I generally teach anyone from beginner level up to grade 8 standard and of any age. I like to not just teach students to pass exams but to learn how to become a mature musician and be in the position where they are able to play well with other musicians and hopefully get gigs.

I taught myself how to play drums at the age of 16, simply because my friend asked me. I played primarily bass guitar back then, but before long, drumming took over my life! I had always wanted to find a self taught drummer that could pass on their knowledge from their individual experience, because at the end of the day, music is for sharing.
