I aim for the student's improvement through a structured trajectory or instruction, adapting myself to his or her specific needs. I give space to dialogue, understanding and creativity in my method of teaching.
All lessons are one-to-one and will take place at my studio in Chatham, Kent. Lessons are tailored to your musical tastes, goals, challenges and playing experience (if any). The lesson plans can include areas such as: hand/foot technique (including double bass drums), timing studies, reading skills and coordination/independence studies.
I have a great relationship with my students and always have no problem engaging any age. I am fully DBS (CRB) checked but also always give any parents or guardians the option to sit in on lessons if preferred. I have recently graduated from BIMM Brighton (Sussex University) with a 2:1 and Firsts in all of my practical playing exams.
My teaching methodology bases on understanding and learning instead of the pure enjoyment and immagination that music can offer, however, the enjoyment is still an important element of studying the subject.

Me teaching methods are all practical and less of theory which includes notations. A lot of warm ups, rudiments but you will be sitting behind the drum kit most of the time which is more fun. I am very easy going and friendly. You will be able to play more than 2 styles of drum beats in 2 weeks.
My teaching method would cater towards each student, starting from their own difficulty level, and increasing it a comfortable speed, tailored to the student. My lessons are tailored to suit the individual needs of the student. I can help students through their school music exams or graded exams and have a 100% pass record to date.
I aim to give a thorough understanding of the basics, and will teach different rhythms and fills from different genres. More than happy to teach specific songs/parts :) I am incredibly patient, and have taught a few of my friends throughout my time playing.
I approach every lesson by working out what my student wants to learn/get out of the lesson. I then set a target/aim and make sure that it is smashed by the end of the lesson.
My teaching method is very much practical. I take time to learn about the music that my students are already interested in, whilst building their awareness and knowledge of music in order to teach the fundamentals of music, in a fun and inspiring environment.
