I firmly believe in the importance of music lessons being enjoyable and rewarding, so I encourage the students to learn to play the songs and music they love. It is also important to me that they learn a bit about music theory, how to read music, and how to play the instrument with a good technique.
It's all about good communication and teaching precisely what each student needs to improve. I identify those needs and focus on them, as well as ensuring areas the student wants to concentrate on are also covered. Helping with other subjects, such as tuning and lit care are also covered.
As a drummer, tabla player and percussionist, flexibility is mandatory. It’s essential for teaching and learning too. Some students like to focus on exams and grading, others want to be able to play in bands, and a few just want to play the fastest double bass drum rolls in the world! No one wants an environment in which attention isn’t paid to the students likes and dislikes.
In my lessons you will understand how music translates emotions and ideas. Using the instrument or/and music production tools, we will be strongly focusing on the relationship between you, your instrument and the theory behind it.

I consider myself a musician rather than just a drummer, offering a very positive and musical approach to the instrument. When teaching, I aim to pass on my knowledge and love for drumming and music, nurturing the musical side of the student.

Hi, I'm Nora, a Percussion/Drums/Marimba and German teacher from Austria. Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach drums/percussion/marimba/music education.
I specialise in establishing enthusiasm for the instrument and good technique in absolute beginners (especially youngsters), taking intermediate players to the next level and helping more mature, advanced students broaden their horizons and step outside their comfort zones.
I'm a multi-talented musician, worked in concerts throughout college. I have worked part-time jobs since and now own my own business. I have a distinction in music technology so if needed I can help with the more technical sides of the job.
I am able to teach lessons for beginners to advanced! My lessons cover styles, reading and technique. I will cover rudiments, and applying them to the kit. Reading, wether the student would like to learn to read or wants to start applying their reading to musical situations and styles. During his lessons, students can expect to cover technique, how to build grooves, rudiments and applications, musical styles, sight reading, transposing drum parts and how to learn songs.
I am an experienced teacher and I tailor lessons to suit individual needs. I am happy to teach pupils from the age of five upwards, and any ability level from complete beginner to experienced professionals looking to learn specific skills.
My teaching method is letting the student show me what they can do themselves and then taking what needs to be improved and working on it so it becomes a solid, tight piece of percussive work. This comes along side with showing the student how to make the beat/grove more interesting for listeners too.
