I find through experience that practicing exam technique helps to swiftly improve a pupil's results. I make sure to discuss the needs of my new pupils carefully and aspire to build their confidence in the subject which they study.

I'm a second year undergraduate student studying Social Anthropology. However, I studied English up to A level achieving a solid A grade. Lessons can vary depending on the topics - and of course the students! I usually base my methodology on the student themselves - for student's struggling with course work, we go through previous work and look to see where we can improve understanding of the material or improve the sentences themselves. For students we work best pictorially we create mind maps together and talk through the subject.
