Are you looking for an inspirational, patient and empowering tutor who can assess your specific needs and engage you to address and overcome them? Lessons with me are about overcoming any barriers to learning and breaking them down concisely.
My teaching method is fully one to one interaction to ensure learning is taking place at an optimum level. I tailor the lessons to the student's unique learning style and ensure they are well prepared for any exam/assessment or are just very confident in the subject, for whichever outcome they decide to use it for.
My approach is primarily learner-led. An initial consultation will identify a learner's self-described objectives (e.g. to achieve a specific level of qualification, or to improve competency in some particular aspect of English language or English literary studies), we will carry out a short assessment and I will make preliminary recommendations about a program of learning.
I work primarily with GCSE students and take a skills-based approach, chunking material when necessary until students have consolidated the key requirements of the syllabus. I aim to build a positive working relationship and to build students' confidence by highlighting what they are doing well and the progress they are making.
I am will ensure I put 100% into my teaching and I ensure students understand the topics they are learning before moving onto something else. I value engagement and believe in stretching and challenging every single student in the classroom.
I teach English up to A Level in a friendly and inventive fashion, combining modern methods and technology with traditional approaches to language and literature. There is a concentration on imaginative vocabulary and accurate use of spelling, punctuation and grammar.
I look at the person themselves and find out what they want to learn. If they like cars i will find all kinds of things focusing on Cars. I believe that being able to listen to the student helps them grow. I do like to teach on a one to one however i do find having more in the class does also help.
Lessons are based around a student's personal weaknesses. Following an initial assessment, detailed support will be provided in less secure areas. This can be from content issues to exam technique. Students find this to be a lot better than classroom experiences which is often generalised.
My approach for tutoring primary/high school students is to assess the basics (spelling/grammar/reading) on the first lesson to find out which particular area(s) they're struggling with, and then structure the next couple lessons around improving that area. I work with them on what they're currently doing in English class at school, and motivate them to get ahead.
I am offering my support to GCSE and Alevel students. I base my tutoring around your weak points in order to pull your grade up. My lessons aim to put you at ease and feel confident ready for your examinations. I focus on key skills within each lesson so that you are equipped with the knowledge needed to become a master of English.

I teach each student individually, even when physically within a group. Understanding that each student is different, I approach each class with a renewed perspective. I teach mainly high school and university students but I am willing to teach anyone.

I like to be quite creative, using games and quizzes etc as well as the tradition a writing to make lessons more interesting and engaging. I know English isn't always the most interesting of subjects so I try to make it fun and relevant to my students' interests and aspirations.
My teaching method is individually tailored to each student. In teaching English literature, I typically begin with the text that a student is studying in school or college and work through the text.
I am a Sociology graduate, who is currently studying for a teaching qualification. I have experience in tutoring GCSE English to pupils in a secondary school. I have also helped University students to improve their assignments before handing them in.
My teaching methodology is to find ways to make learning fun. For example, differentiating my lessons. My favoured teaching method is to watch videos and to condense all contextual notes into mind maps ;flashcards because then it is a lot less challenging to have to remember all of the content that is required, if you condense your notes it will be a lot easier over a long-term basis.
