I have considerable knowledge of the English SATs and 11+ syllabus and tailor the sessions to the individual pupils needs
I'm a first year university student with the intention of working towards a 2:1 minimum in my degree. I have a laid-back, friendly approach to put students at ease and prefer to work informally in that I will plan sessions according to the student's needs at the time.
My teaching methodology is diverse, to meet the needs of my learners. I like to identify what works best for each student and then use the most suited teaching and learning strategies to help my learners to develop. I do favour more student led with my guidance and support. I feel that my students learn best through working collaboratively and sharing ideas and knowledge.
I’ve never tutored before, however I would go by the pupils exam boards requests and follow topics on what they would need to include. If they didn’t get it first time, I would continue the same topic until they had a full understanding. I’m a very patient person and wouldn’t pressure anything more that the pupils ability.
I like to get to know what motivates children to learn and what their interests are; this helps me form a good basis for my lessons. My lessons are 45 minutes-hour long.
I am offering my support to GCSE and Alevel students. I base my tutoring around your weak points in order to pull your grade up. My lessons aim to put you at ease and feel confident ready for your examinations. I focus on key skills within each lesson so that you are equipped with the knowledge needed to become a master of English.
I am a patient teacher who likes to inspire children to reach their full potential.
I have been tutoring and teaching for a number of years and try to cater my lessons around the specific needs of the students I teach. When meeting a new student I will take the time to get to know them and how I can gear learning to get the results they want.
My method of teaching is explaining and questioning the students however also involving them into a role play. This would allow them to grasp what we have learned much better and it will also make the lessons much more interesting.
I have a variety of teaching and one to one tutoring experience in English, Maths and Business Studies at different levels. I hold a Bachelors degree in Business and Management along with an MBA in International Business. Tutoring is my passion and I enjoy helping students reach and in most cases exceed their potential.
I look at the person themselves and find out what they want to learn. If they like cars i will find all kinds of things focusing on Cars. I believe that being able to listen to the student helps them grow. I do like to teach on a one to one however i do find having more in the class does also help.

I take great care to ensure that I plan my lessons and tailor my tutoring methods to the needs and learning style of each of my students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I like to make sure my students are active in their learning, and so I ask questions throughout teaching to make sure the students knowledge is being consolidated. I also like to plan my lessons in advance in order to ensure efficiency for the student.
My teaching method varies on a pupil-to-pupil basis. Everyone learns differently so I tend to adapt my teaching style based on what is most effective for the pupil. Young children are often easily distracted so I try to make my lessons fun and collaborative.
As I am passionate about theatre and performance I have a unique approach to teaching. I will include games and drama exercises to boost skills such as confidence, concentration, memory and focus. This has been proved to be a highly effective way to increase intellect and understanding of topics.
I've generally given lessons to students preparing for 11+, English and Maths at primary school level, and Maths at GCSE level. I'm also open to supporting students who study A-Level Maths. My ways of teaching are centred around examples - real life or artificial examples that can help a student understand what I'm teaching.
I structure all lessons around the student’s weak areas of their course whilst also recapping their strong areas. My lessons include learning recourses they can take away with them to use for any further revision.
I always adapt my lesson to an individual child's needs. My sessions usually start with a short warm up activity and a recap on what's been taught during previous lessons. The main lesson is always carefully crafted to be fun and engaging. The child's individual likes and interests are always taken consideration when planning activities.
My teaching method is all dependent on the student as every child is different and every child learns and understands in different ways. I am very patient and can teach very slow. I give clear instructions and make sure all my students understand what they learnt and their homework before they leave.
