Learning needs to be fun still effective! is my motto. I love teaching French because it is all about communication! I love helping my students to express themselves and feel confident while speaking this amazing language. I always start with this simple question: what are your short term and long-term objectives? My lesson will then vary depending on your needs, hobbies and personality.
I base my classes on the needs of the learners (grammar, vocabulary, conversation, writing, proofreading, etc.) and adapt my approach to their wishes. I ask the learners what kind of feedback (mistakes correction) they would like. I build on what the learners already know to implement further knowledge.
I first find out about the student's needs, assess his level and devise the best approach to help him achieve his aims.
Confucius : "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." Indeed, when teaching, one must be a listener/enabler at all times – guiding the student in the right direction as to pronunciation and writing - but also being able to give them the space to practice speaking “freely”, let them appropriate the materials and experiment with them.
Based on your French language skills, I adapt my teaching method accordingly. I can give lessons to whoever need improving his French skills (from kids to adults). I enjoy teaching and I would be more than happy to help you improve your French speaking/writing.
French is my native language, thus I can teach students at all levels. I accept any French competences and background and I will adapt my lessons depending on your level. My usual method of teaching is divided into three steps: First, I start my classes by focusing on grammar and basic rules. Then, I give vocabulary on a specific topic and go over it with the student.
With language learning, there is nothing more important than conversation practice and having to think on your feet. Students will be encouraged to revise grammar and vocabulary at home (which I will provide the resources for and go over with them) reserving valuable tuition time for fun conversation practices.
I especially help you with your homework but we also can work on a particular topic of your choice if you want. We go step by step starting at the very beginning if necessary. I usually adapt my lessons to the student.
I’m very easy to get along with, we will learn in fun, effective way. I will break things down and explain all the ins and outs of the marking scheme to help you get your head around it.
Those working at GCSE or A Level will receive lessons based on the new curriculum set out by the exam boards. Together, we would focus on current difficulties, homework, revision work as well as preparing you for the exams. Those who are brand new beginners and wish to learn French for pleasure, I would follow your lead in as to how far you wish to go.
I am pedagogue when it comes to teaching and it is essential that the information is well communicated to the student in a way that would allow lessons to be learned, accessed and assimilated. Tailored learning objectives : review, teach, practise.
It depends on my class or the person I am teaching too . I’m a very outgoing person, always smiling and sometimes funny, but I am also a good listener, I get to know people by building a nice relationship and then find out the best way to teach them .
I try to tailor my approach based on individual students. Learning is an individual experience and i know that one style of teaching doesnt suit all. I want every student to enjoy their experience and i will try and help with things that each student wants to work on.
I will happily answer any questions you have about the exam, go over methods and ways of revising, as well as conjugations and important words/phrases.

As an experienced examiner I have strategies which will help you shine. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I have 35 years' experience teaching French and German from Beginners to A Level.
I am a KS3 level tutor, who has experience teaching both Languages and Drama, and incorporate elements from the latter field in my approach to teaching French.
Well, it all depends on your level and your goals, but also what you like to do and how you like to learn things - we are all different and we do not learn the same way. It is important that we all agree on something that will not only be useful for you but also will please you! But, I truly think talking is the best way to learn a language.
Mostly concentrating on spoken French to master the accent and sentence construction, my classes are fun and informative. Whether visiting France for the first time or not, I recommend updating your knowledge with some fresh phrases or a course on conversational French.
I make sure I motivate students so that they believe that they can achieve and use a variety of strategies to engage them. I use encouragement and monitor progress from session to session. At GCSE level, I use my wide experience of exam teaching to develop students' exam skills.
I would describe my teaching style as fun and dynamic and can tailor my approach to the client`s needs. I have lots of experience working with beginners and I strive to give everybody the confidence to succeed and create a relaxed environment in which learners are not afraid to make mistakes.
Depending on the type of lesson, I can teach basics through various fun and interactive exercises or pinpoint specific areas that the individual may be struggling with - I’d also want to encourage speaking as much in French as possible, as I’ve found it’s the best way to learn - even starting out with key words and phrases.
I like to teach people what they will actually need if they were to go to France. The technical side of the language is important but I find that unless you're learning things which will be useful to you in your somewhat everyday life then you won't enjoy and therefore won't learn well.
I aim to create a relaxed and friendly experience during my lessons. At the start of each lesson, I will run through what our focus/focuses are for that tutorial, and check that the student/guardian are happy with this (this can also be done via email before the lesson if you prefer).
I am a very patient person, friends of mine made me realize that I am good at teaching, I take all the time needed to learn every aspects of the languages, and make sure that people understand. I take the time to repeat vocabulary and rules of grammar and give other examples until you understand and are able to do so as well.
Most important for me is communication with students. I offer learning languages suited for any student individually based on what you would like to focus on and the purpose for which you want to learn a new language. I am open for student's ideas, could also familiarize you with French culture a little bit and believe we would have some fun together in meantime.
As a French native speaker, I can adapt quite easily to students' need, therefore classes would be organised depending on what needs to be achieved, whether it is a regular class meant to keep up with the student's level, to help with homework, or to prepare an exam. According to what the student wants to improve, I can help with listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills.
My teaching method is based on the actual needs of the student and his/her interests. I can base my classes both on written and oral materials. Throughout my teaching I can have a focus on grammar, orthography, vocabulary or oral expression.
I base my classes on what the student needs, bearing in mind that it's useful to make learning a somewhat enjoyable experience. I set homework where appropriate and where agreed with the student but equally I enjoy engaging in learning activities which are likely to raise a smile.
* First session process * My own experience as a (language) student has always been a big asset in understanding and adjusting to the frustrations or pitfalls encountered by a new learner so don't worry, I've got your back :) I usually assess the level of the student and offer a curriculum based on your needs and objectives. I can tailor the course based on your objectives (e.
My teaching method varies on the student. Before creating a plan, it is imperative to know the level of the student and their goals (a speaking exam, a writing exam). To truly excel in a language you have to embrace all aspects, therefore I will base my lessons on the four key skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.
