I have mainly taught my previous company's employees. It was a cafe and some chalets in the French Alps and most staff was English. I was tutoring the cafe and chalet staff in group lessons and and private lesson. From teaching the team in the cafes, other English locals decided to join the lessons.

*REVOLUTION IN LANGUAGE LEARNING* I am French student and during my studies I developed an INTERACTIVE approach in language teaching. I mostly helped people get more confident in speaking French. I accomplished that with my interactive and relaxed way of teaching and fun lesson structure.
I am a very understanding and encouraging tutor, and my methods of teaching a new language will not be done solely through books and scholar teaching. As a tutor, I strive to develop the will to learn from my students whilst adapting my teaching to their level.
I use a direct methodology with grammar and spelling exercices with books but also audio-visual support (movie, songs) litterature and communicative approach by encouraging the student to speak French
I believe that every child's natural state is to love learning and I see it as my job and personal mission to create that experience for all of my students. This involves overcoming any blocks that might hold a student back in their learning.
Everyone has something that stirs their passion. Something that sparks an interest so deep-seated that to not pursue it would be unthinkable. Some find theirs in numbers, others in athletics; perhaps one may find a love for science or a penchant for design. I found my love, passion, and fulfillment when I was very young, and I found it in the Teaching.

I give lessons to everyone without distinction of age or level. After teaching the basics (pronunciation, grammar, ...), I work on oral and written comprehension/expression by reading & listening to material & having debates about a theme that the student has interest in.
I base my class on your aims - want to learn about the culture and get good oral skills? Or want to ace your GCSE or A level? I'll tailor my teaching to you! First lesson will be a chat in French to see your level and hear your expectations. Then there will be a mixture of conversation classes and written and reading exercises.
I sincerely think that you have to give the student a taste for studying, with the help of programs that can be linked to his hobbies and his passions. It is also very important for me to follow the student's academic background and respect his program. Exchanges and dialogues are an indispensable part of student learning. And finally, patience and good humor are real assets to succeed together.
My teaching method is based on building self-confidence. Students know more than they think and can all learn french! My first challenge is to give them the chance to see their skills and from there, learning french will become way easier. I am not going to lie to you.
I use the skills of the student to help them improve their accent, have conversations in the language of choice in order to improve their oral comprehension based upon their level and use written texts to improve their reading comprehension and reading aloud skills.

Mostly when teaching foreign languages, I advocate practice. Language is a living thing - something we speak and use to describe the world. So to learn a language is to speak in order to understand its mechanism. Another essential thing when we learn is to have fun, and the lessons aim at providing students with an educative and entertaining way of learning French.
Oral sessions organised into dialogues, interviews, role plays are a funny and really exercise to practise. Also, knowing the basis of the French grammar is essential. Then written and oral exercises of grammar and sentence construction are a good way to make real progress.
Speak more, think less. After 5 years of course and a certification to teach languages using mostly the target language I will create engaging lesson where you learn speaking since the first day.
I usually start with basic questions to evaluate the level and the needs of the student (grammar, vocabulary, comprehension) and then try to provide exercises on an interesting topic to help improving general skills. I also like to end my lesson with a very short expression (oral or written) to practice.
My lessons are for all ages and abilities. I base my lessons on what the student wants to, or needs to learn. For example, for a GCSE French student, I would research the topics given by the relevant examination board and plan a lesson appropriately. I also ensure that the lesson has time to cover anything the student was finding particularly difficult or did not understand.

Practice is always the best way to go, even though methods can vary according to your needs and expectations. Do not hesitate to get in touch. I am available either for meeting weekly or on one-off basis.
I teach beginners, intermediate and advanced level French! I will always first outline the aim of the lesson and then include some reading, writing, speaking and listening exercises in each lesson with at least one session for just speaking practice!
