Hi, I have just completed my BSc Mathematics at Nottingham University in which i achieved a 2.1. I will be starting my PGCE in September 2011. Please feel free to contact if you require further assistance with the subjects I have listed, or if you wish just to increase confidence within these areas.
During any session I will identify the problems the student currently has and find relevant questions (past paper or otherwise) to help explain, and eventually, overcome the problem. I primarily will use questions and past papers but am open to any techniques the student believes may be helpful.
I am offering tuition in Maths for GCSE and A-Level students. In all of my tutoring sessions, my aim is to guide rather than lecture, helping the student to become more confident in their ability and to help build positive study habits.
My teaching method is to assume my pupil needs to understand the very basics before moving onto anything further. We take things step by step at your pace. I am a good listener as well as a good teacher and am aware each pupil is different and requires a different approach.
My teaching method includes researching about the topic in order to find multiple techniques to teach a particular topic so that the student I'm teaching is exposed to multiple ways of understanding the topic. I then teach the student in a calm, patient manner and am willing to explain until the student understands.
I have only recently completed my degree so I am looking to start tutoring and gain some experience in the field. I strongly believe maths can be understood by anyone it just takes the right way of explaining things in a way that the student understands.
Assess my students in all the topics and try to target their weak points and use repetition and home work to rectify their problems. A highly adaptable and professional individual; with degrees in Aerospace Egn. (Ph.D, M.Sc, B.Sc.(hons)). I have an excellent track record of exceeding expectation and delivering organisational outcomes to the highest standards.
I believe that the key to learning is finding a way that works for you no matter your age or experience. I will take time to understand your personal strengths and weaknesses so that together we can create lessons which are not boring. In the past this has included turning formula into songs and learning through using multiple senses.
I can teach my subjects to GCSE and A-Level students. I start with the basics, making sure a student understands where the concepts being used come from to ensure a strong understanding of the content. I have plenty of patience to explain more difficult concepts in other ways if necessary.
Ihar graduated from University of Nottingham with a first class master’s degree in Mathematics. Mathematics is his specialty, but he is very equipped to tutor any mathematical related subjects his students require.
My teaching methodology is simple and straight forward for mathematics as follows: 1- Provide background knowledge with important facts and concepts related to the topic under discussion 2- Relate and use those concepts by establishing a sequence of logical understanding 3- Work on few examples to practice the usability of knowledge and information obtained in steps 1 & 2 4- Leave few...
I approach each pupil as an individual and like to work to a course text book.
In regards to my teaching methods, the structure of my lessons will closely follow lesson plans I have myself received during my time at University and prior to that. I will place a greater emphasis on topics that I believe are less intuitive and so need a greater focus.
My style of teaching is based on the assumption that everybody has the potential to understand mathematics, it just takes the right explanation.
I think that the best and easiest way to learn to solve any problem in Physics or Maths is to have an intuitive grasp of what's going on; to connect concepts together and see the big picture. I strive to help students build a solid understanding of concepts at a fundamental level, to be confident as possible for your exam and ready to face any problem.
I have been teaching and tutoring mathematics for over 15 years at A level and GCSE. I have had great fun setting up my site to utilise the benefits of the Skype and Zoom platforms, allowing me to tutor students in an effective and convenient way. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I'm happy to assist with GCSE, IGCSE, AS, A2 or Further Maths.
I am aware that shockingly not everyone shares the love for maths quite like myself, therefore, by establishing the specific learning methods of each individual and caterring to their needs best possible will enable optimum results from myself teaching and the student come their exams.
I tailor my teaching to the needs of each pupil. I take time to understand their preferred learning styles and for my younger pupils I believe it is key to use interactive games and memory tools to make their experience enjoyable and memorable.
My teaching style is interactive. In my first lesson, I conduct a general assessment of my students in order to ascertain their weak points. I work on their weaknesses, build them to the required educational standard and bring out the confidence level expected of them.
