A student myself, I understand the pressures of meeting deadlines and grades. I take an organised and methodic approach to learning- using mind maps, flashcards and other materials to encourage memory recall.
I am student-led and incredibly flexible - a one size fits all approach does not work for studying science! I use a variety of techniques, and also like to use real-life examples and experiences to enhance learning too. In terms of format, I enhance the sessions with extra material suggestions (books, videos, activities).
My teaching methodology is to focus on the students strengths, by continually helping them to build confindence in that subject. As well as insuring that a wide range of topics are covered at a pace that suits them. I am also experienced in working with students that have anxiety or low self confidence.
My teaching methods have been proved to be easy and simple by my students as I prepare for all the resources like exam questions, extra notes and short question and answer booklets. I am a A- Level student and have passed the new GCSE's and therefore know new teaching methods.
My teaching method is to first gauge where the student struggles and tackle these areas, whilst still covering topics they don't struggle in, by covering what they know when tackling what they don't, the student remains confident. Lack of confidence is often the reason why many struggle.
I prefer face to face sessions in order to assess the gaps that need filling. I start from the basics, setup a plan if needed and focus on the practical sections that is important for the exams and future career. I will give a summary by the end of the session with bullet points to focus on during the exam revision.
The strong communication and interpersonal skills gained from the above roles coupled with my excitement and expertise relating to the sciences lend to a relaxed teaching style in which complex issues within the sciences are discussed and a joint conclusion is reached.
My teaching methodology revolves around making fun and interactive lessons to achieve the learning objectives. I fee that interest is the factor which helps students learn and try to foster this by making science relatable.
My teaching method is informal, approaching each topic by encouraging the student to engage with the topic and really think about the subjects helping to further their experience.
I can help to complement your school work or concentrate on exam questions and techniques. I use quick multiple choice assessments to pinpoint sticky topics as students often spend time revising/reviewing stuff they already know ! I incorporate the prescribed practicals for biology.
Hi Guys, I am a Geologist who has extensive experience in both academic and professional geology. I combine this with a passion for the subject and a lot of patience to hopefully bring the best out of you. My experience wont just help with your studies, I can also give you an insight into what working in Geology will hold.
My name is Stephen and live in South Wales. I already hold a Geography degree and i am currently studying for my second in Healthcare science ( Life Sciences). My specialism is human biology. I have a positive forward outlook on teaching. No matter your ability i will actively seek to improve your knowledge and understanding of Human Biology.
I find that people learn best when they are relaxed and most of all, interested in what they are studying. I would work systematically through the material until the student is happy to explore the subject independently. I would encourage students to create helpful anecdotes and use fun revision tips, to help them grasp the subject with greater proficiency.
My approach to teaching would be called a teacher-led collaboration: I would have a quick chat with the student to see how they themselves approach the material, and we would then decide together on a plan for how the student would prefer to utilise our sessions.
I focus my attention on ensuring that the student has a full understanding of the subject matter, which I can test by asking for their interpretations and explanations of different areas of the content. This also improves their answering style. Then I go on to example questions so I can give feedback on their style, as well as give them an opportunity to practice with trick questions.
My teaching method is based on understanding through real life examples. I believe that learning Geoscience is a very beautiful way of exploring our world and youll be quite amazed to see how interesting things geologist deal with everyday! As I have the chance to have industry experience, I can really share with my student the knowledge from real situtations.
I am willing to teach any student at GCSE and up to A Level in certain subjects who wishes to pass their exams or simply improve their grade to the best of their ability.
Looking to teach A level of all exam boards to students. As well as helping give a very clear understanding of the topics, I also focus on exam technique and past paper questions. A student can go up 2 grades just through good exam technique. Having been tutored myself in Geology, I believe that students benefit considerably more from one-on-one tutoring than as a class.
well its all about teaching my students the core things they need to know about reproduction, be it on the male cell or on the female reproductive system , so therefore by doing this my students will have the key knowledge of the course
I currently starting my Masters degree in Conservation and Ecology research at University of East Anglia. I have tutored people for GCSE Science subjects and Maths during my A Levels and have experience in being able to help my students gain an understanding the subject alongside being improving exam technique which is crucial at A Level and GCSE.
I take great enjoyment in helping others achieve fantastic results, which I discovered through helping other classmates at School! My main goal is not just to help you get great results, but also enable you to understand why and how things work so that you can tackle whatever an exam throws at you, instead of relying on something you have just memorised.
I like to tutor 101 with a question and answer based learning format. I like to encourage individuals to work through problems with my guidance with the end goal of the student completing the task using there knowledge with the addition of developing there skills inn a science based subject.
i got the Best Presentator Award in the University due to my best Innate professional skills of Teaching and Presenting myself, furthermore i was the position holder in my class so i know alot better about my subject.i have also worked in the field as a Material Engineer as well as i am working as a Hydro-geologist now a days in a Government project.
I organise my lessons to be interesting for my students to keep the intrigued while providing them with passive and active learning as well as giving them a chance to discuss. Furthermore, providing them with relevant information as well as detailed analysis.
As a teacher, I have a very relaxed teaching style and aim to not create a pressurized atmosphere, which can allow a student to grow at their own pace. My teaching method is largely visually based using diagrams, graphs, pictures, videos and models to explore each topic.
I teaching method involves various techniques like lecturing, demonstration, discussion and experimentation. I enjoy teaching with diagrams and video.
My role as DofE coordinator has emphasised to me the value of strong positive relationships with pupils which I now believe to be the key to successful teaching. I have used many different strategies to further this, for example, by regularly using rewards such as ‘postcards home’, and by using my time on duty to engage with pupils.
During the initial phases of tuition, the tutee will be able to tell me which areas of his or her subject they are confident in, and which areas they feel they could use more work on. Based on this, I will be able to plan sessions over a given time frame so that the weaker areas are focused on more until the tutee is able to answer any question confidently.
Each individual learns differently ! I believe it’s completely wrong to assume and to treat individuals as one. As a tutor I would like to cover all 3 learning aspects , kinaesthetic , auditory and visual. I am an extremely focused person and would expect my students to be the same, however , no question is stupid in my eyes.
One on one sessions, tailored based on the individual students need. Once we've established first contact, I can figure out which grading system the student is using, and tailor the content we go through to ensure it is relevant to the examing body. From there I will create a mentoring plan that ensures we cover all topics required with ample time for revision of specific topics of issue.
