I am currently taking a level maths and got an a* at gcse level. Will happily tutor anyone who wants help. I will go through step by step anything you struggle with/ want more confidence with until you understand it. The next lesson we will check how much you remember and determine together whether we start a new topic or go back over what we have covered.
Teaching mathematics is one simple job. All you have to do is learn the content and then use it repeatedly. Sessions with me will start with learning about the topic you are struggling with, what facts you need to know, and lots of examples. I will produce a problem sheet that you can then work your way through steadily.

I finished my A-Levels in July, achieving an A* in maths and an A in further maths, and am keen to share my knowledge with other young people, from Primary School up to Year 9. I am a fun and motivating tutor, and pupils often relate to me better than others due to my age. Many issues with students is confidence, I believe that a growth in confidence is more helpful in maths than anything else.
I am a graduate with a degree in Maths and give lessons to secondary school pupils, both GCSE and A-level. I find the most effective way to learn is not only to be taught how to do something but also why we do it.
I approach each topic individually focusing on the core content and then on potential exam questions, and exam technique. I believe that with a detailed knowledge of the specification and a solid exam technique any student can achieve high grades.
Teaching at schools/colleges is not always sufficient as all students learn in different ways and all teachers teach in different ways. My aim is to help a student understand the concepts rather than pure facts; true understanding of a subject entails an appreciation of its uses.
I personally prefer to teach College students, foundation students or Secondary school students as the way to approach such teaching moments have more room for fun. My style of teaching doesn't just show you how to solve it, it shows you why. I personally believe that the why drives the how.
My teaching methodology is practice. The more you practice something the better you get at it. So to begin with I ensure the foundations are there and once we are all set then we can start to tackling different sorts of problems in that topic until theres no problem the student can face which he can't solve.
Students who want to learn maths will be learning techniques to speed their calculations and to improve thinking patterns. Lessons are provided as you want depending on the topics you wanna improve.
Teaching is a learned process but the process of imparting humans is intuitive and charismatic per se. Although people go to learn how to teach but there are people who find it easier to communicate what they know without going to learn how it could be done;that is where I belong. All my past student have always said ,I am a good teacher and I take cognizant of that.
Teaching is a career meant for the patient people who want to activate the drive that exist in people.Everyone has the self taught ability but someone has to let it out of you before you could burn the fire out.Be teachable and ready to learn more even if you know because something new must be found.
i am a GCSE student who finishes school in June who would like to offer my services in boosting your son or daughters confidence in maths as i myself use to struggle in the subject and found various strategies to improve my performance and now maths is one of my best subjects! I feel that their are various methods and ways to approach students learning as everyone learns in different ways so...
I'm a patient and supportive teacher, focusing of finding many ways of explaining ideas to make them easier to understand and easier to remember.
It is my belief that the best way to learn maths is not to memorise a different method for approaching each type of problem but to develop an understanding of the maths behind what's going on. This gives students much more confidence with the material and prepares them in the eventuality that the exam throws up a question they have not been taught a method to solve before.
Tutor for Maths and Physics, i have given lesson to A level Student and some degree level students. I have found best way to teach is to go through a few questions with the student and then allow them to do a few while helping them. After set a number of questioned so they get the method well practiced and answer any questions they have.
First I teach the theory behind any topic and make sure my students have a thorough understanding then putting this into practice. From here, the student will be set past exam papers to try before the exam to face confidently.
The way to tackle the syllabus is practice and Id like to show that practicing regularly and staying up to date with the daily work covered during school classes would ultimately be beneficial for the final outcome. I give my best effort and time for me is not the issue, it is the target that needs to be achieved at the end of each session.
I am and undergraduate Pharmacy student. I have been privately trained for Maths tutoring in all levels and have many years of experience in tutoring students for GCSE and A-level Mathematics. All my students have achieved B-A* grades. How i teach? Content will be taught accordingly depending on the exam board of the examination.
I try and let my students guide the lessons and focus on the areas that cause them the greatest trouble as I feel like this is most important. My approach from lesson to lesson varies as it is important to be flexible and adapt to the needs and preferences of the tutee.
I like to teach by understanding rather than by rote. If a student thoroughly understands a concept they are much likelier to remember it, and be able to deal with complicated/unorthodox problems. However this isn't an excuse not to practice. I typically go through some example problems with the student, and then see how the student fares in their own time.
I teach Maths to Primary school children and Secondary school children and also cover the 11+ and 13+ exams for selective schools. All my students have developed a love for Maths.
