I'm Kris Miles - an experienced guitar and keyboard tutor. I provide informal, engaging lessons that are tailored to individual musical interests. I have a BA Honours degree in contemporary music and over 10 years tutoring experience. I believe that developing a lifelong passion for learning music is equally important as simply understanding notes and chords.
I structure my lessons so that equal time is dedicated to both technique work, and learning pieces of music. This is to demonstrate that technique plays a large part in being able to play the guitar properly, whilst also achieving a balance with the more enjoyable side of playing pieces of music. I am open to teaching all students from beginner level to around Grade 7.
My teaching method I am a Scottish guitarist and guitar and bass guitar teacher who has over 8 years teaching experience across Scotland, China and the USA. I have a passion for music and really enjoying teaching guitar as I believe that it is a very interesting skill. I have developed my own set of teaching methods which have been very successful across all age groups and levels.
My teaching method is to learn by songs you like to listen to.

I can tutor complete beginners or those wanting to progress there guitar playing and also work on music theory, reading music and reading tablature.
I build my lesson plans around my students taking into consideration their ability and goals they set out to achieve. I use tried and tested guitar teaching methodologies I have carefully enhanced to ensure maximum results in my students performance.
I use a different method on every student, depending their preference and adaptability.
I do all the basic fingerings, positions, reading notes, listening skills, getting good tone and etc. I select repertoires and exercises based on students ability and preference. I believe teachers are responsible not just for guiding students to the right direction, giving them a push to practice, and most importantly, building their interests.

I like to teach by ear, not reading music or tan as I believe this leads to a more rounded, adaptable and ultimately useful guitarist especially for gigging.
I base my classes around where the student is, and what fundamentals they require. The constants across all abilities will be a focus on the techniques needed to play guitar, as well as a havy emphasis on playnig to a metronome. Whether preparing for an exam, or you just want to get better, my teaching will make you a well equipped player.
I've had a teacher of my own for 4-5 years and been playing for 8. While there are plenty of online courses and lessons, there are still many possible mistakes or bad habits that could develop that I want to help you avoid. I'll be honest, I am nowhere near a master of the instrument, but I'm confident in my skills to a point where you'll grow wings and fly off into the sunset on your own.

I'm Fraser Murray, I've been teaching music lessons since I was in university as a student mentor across the country. I'm a patient, motivating teacher who can give free form or structured (graded) lessons for music and all forms of guitar.
The base for my teaching are techniques. Firstly, I look into bad habits and what should be changed about it. It's very important as with the right left and right hand techniques we will avoid mistakes during later stages of playing.
I have recently moved to Glasgow and am keen to take on new students. I am a 28-year-old University Master’s graduate from Brighton. As of January 2018, I have been playing guitar for over 21 years. I am primarily self-taught although I have, in my time, taken lessons with several well-established instructors and have a Grade 8 certificate from Trinity & Guildhall.
Learning a broad variety of music is key to the mastery of the guitar. With the correct teaching in fret board awareness, chords and scale work, I believe everyone has the ability to achieve their guitarist goals. Playing along to jam tracks is the best way to become a confident guitarist, and so my lessons will be heavily focused on playing with accompaniment.
My teaching methods will be very practical, I have a lot of exercises that were given to me by my teachers and I know that they work. I also have a lot of different music and arrangements that I can give to students of varying levels.
My teaching method is very hands on. In a lesson I would start with a topic and build up from there, first explaining and encouraging note-taking, then encouraging students to have a go themselves.
Hello! I'm a professional guitar tutor with a real passion for teaching and passing on experience. I teach at home but am also usually happy to travel. My lessons are relaxed, fun, easy to follow, with a minimal level of musical jargon and theory. My aim is to get young students playing as fast as possible.
Guitar/Music - I teach up to grade 6 Guitar and Higher Music. I build up practical and theory skill with students and give them pieces to learn along the way (exam pieces and occasionally pieces of their choice to help build their repertoire).
When we listen to music, it makes us feel good. It inspires us and affects our mood in ways unique to the arts. I believe this should translate into teaching/learning music, also. I tailor each lesson to the individual and use their own interests to relate more general musical concepts. I find that this is the most engaging and motivating way to teach.
My teaching method is unique - when I started learning to play the guitar I attended a number of 'typical' group sessions, where classics such as 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,' were painstakingly learned, note by note. As a youngster, this slowly put me off as I wanted to learn the songs I knew and loved - I wanted to be a rockstar.
My teaching method would be to first ascertain the level and experience of the pupil and to discover what each individual pupil wishes to achieve with their guitar playing and also if they wished to learn or improve upon any music theory which they had
I am extremely friendly and eager to teach. I love working with others and can offer a great deal of support and patience. I aim to teach younger pupils the basics of guitar and progress to more complex aspects.
