I can tutor at home or online and approach teaching guitar by giving the student a underpinning knowledge of the theory of the instrument, so that it allows the student to be confident on understanding the instrument through and through.
I teach in a simple way demonstrating to the student and playing alongside them. I go at the pace the student wants to go at so as not to confuse them and I make them understand the music as well.
My approach to teaching is very practical. I believe there is no better way to learn something than to try it. My target audience to teach would be budding musicians ready to start their learning in one of the instruments I can teach. For basic music theory, anyone who is a beginner would be perfect. This is the same for guitar and ukelele.
My teaching is based on the sound methodology passed on to me by my excellent teachers and by my own experience in nearly 40 years of teaching. I am happy to teach music reading and/or TAB and the initial lessons will concentrate on good posture and establishing the basis of a good technique.
My teaching philosophy is one of hard work and positivity. I find that students who are encouraged to play in a fun and friendly environment get far more from their lessons and improve far more quickly than those who are simply forced into learning.
I teach all levels, and all styles of guitar, acoustic and electric, fingerpicking or plectrum style. Lessons are student centred; a lesson plan will be developed based on your experience and aspirations. This can be based on grades if desired.
I base by lessons in response to what the students are looking to get out of the guitar. Whether it's refining skills before an exam, working through grades or play your favourite song, the most important thing is to love what you are doing.
I write student lesson plans and practice schedules and have created a ‘Learn how to Play’ guitar book for Guitar Function ((concealed information) aimed at the beginner guitarist. I have also created backing tracks, which are available on ‘YouTube’, for more advanced students wanting to extend their repertoire by learning more complex tracks.
I USUALLY TEACH WITH DRAWINGS, AND WHEN NEEDED, INSTRUMENTS. THIS IS SO THAT MY STUDENTS CAN EXPERIENCE THE PRACTICALITY OF IT AND REMAIN ENGAGED AND INTRIGUED, AS STUDENTS GET EASILY DISTRACTED.
I like to make learning an enjoyable experience, and provide a unique tailored plan for each of my students. The way I teach gives you two options; following the fast track, work intensive path to quick progression, or taking a slower route, learning through creative expression.
I like to adapt to whoverver I’m teaching. Each person needs a different methodology, I hope to make music exciting, challenging and inspiring. Hi, my name is Ben I am a freelance musician based in the West Midlands. As a recent graduate from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire I specialise in Jazz Double Bass, but also perform and teach on a wide range of musical instruments.
I'm relatively new to giving lessons but strive to be as professional, accessible, and patient as possible. I will adapt to each student in accordance with their needs and abilities making sure the lessons are both challenging but also enjoyable.
Jon’s approach to lessons is to make them enjoyable and fun with a relaxed manner whilst at the same time pushing the students to reach their full potential. All lessons are tailored to the needs of the individual, raging from total beginners to Grade examinations (including Diplomas) with all the leading examining boards such as ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool etc.
My teaching method is nice and easy where I work at your pace to insure that you learn what I teach. My lessons are designed around the type of music that you like and can relate to so that you can feel that you are learning something with me. Lessons are weekly and are normally 45mins as this is the ideal learning time needed and giving you plenty of time in between lessons to practice.
My teaching methodology is to understand at first what the student wanna learn and move on from there. I can do private lessons and Skype lessons too. I'm giving all the material used at lesson plus extra material I want to use with my student to build a proper course with a sense and direction.
I am a laid back dude so I think I would let the student tell me where their head is and what it is they want to achieve from the lessons before deciding how best to teach them. Having had music lessons throughout my life I would hope to employ certain things I've picked up over the years to help people achieve their goals.
Through a unique teaching method that not only gets you playing guitar fast, but also helps improve memory and overall cognitive performance, you will be playing and creating music you love.
Enthusiastic, hard working, dependable and knows what it is like being a music student and from personal experience what the do's and don'ts are. I believe in a very practical method of teaching, getting the student playing soon but at there own speed.
I teach all ages, all standards - I try to use a person centred approach. Some play for a hobby, others for UCAS points, exam preparation and other award schemes.

I am able to teach rock, pop, blues and folk guitar lessons to anyone. Being a Primary school teacher I am more than aware of the need to design lessons towards the specific needs of the student and hence teach the guitar in the same way.
Is there a riff you've always wanted to play? Want to be able to bust out a couple of songs when a guitar makes a show at a party? Simply want to accompany yourself singing a couple of tunes or just giving the guitar a go? My name is Matthew, I've been playing guitar for seventeen years and boast experience as a lead electric guitarist, rhythm guitarist, jazz accompanist and folk enthusiast.
I'm a self taught guitarist, with nearly 14 years experience in playing live, recording, and about 7 years experience in teaching. I always believe that no matter what level you're at, we can always learn from each other.
Teachings vary depending on the clients skill level but assuming a complete beginners standard I would tend to take them through the most important chords at first befor moving on to some of the more advanced stuff like scales, barchords, fingerpicking etc..
Hi, I'm Mia, I'm willing to teach any aged beginners young or old, I have a level 2 diploma in performance and production meaning that I can help teach you not only the instruments but how to rehearse efficiently how to find gigs or even how to produce your own music in your own home.
Liam is a professional lead guitarist in international pop-rock band Over Atlantic. While he is not playing shows or recording, he teaches all genres of guitar playing, acoustic or electric. He is open to teaching beginner, intermediate, or expert guitar techniques, as well as giving advice on how to use your guitar skills in the music industry.
I've been playing guitar for 10 years now, and tutoring for 2. This year (6th year) I sat Advanced higher music in school, and after Summer I will be doing and HND in music at Edinburgh college. As a tutor I am very patient and reliable as I understand how frustrating it can be for people of any age to pick up an instrument.
What ever my students are most interested is what we focus on in my lessons, whether that be song writing, learning songs or simply practicing techniques and technical skills. I always try and combine theory and technical work with learning music rather than just learning scales monotonously.
