I teach all levels of Classical and Jazz guitar tuition. Jazz tuition is structured initially around acquisition of thorough fingerboard knowledge (scales, triads, chords, etc) first, followed by developing jazz language through a primarily chord tone based approach. This is applied in conjunction with the learning of fundamental standards from the jazz repertory.
The benefits of learning with me; 1.Speed I make sure my students develop very fast 2.Quality.I give good lessons to students depending on the level of training they are in. 3.Materials.Learners receive the right materials in every step of the way. 4.Demos.Students do demos to indicate how much they have learnt and mastered. 5.Pay.
I do all the basic fingerings, positions, reading notes, listening skills, getting good tone and etc. I select repertoires and exercises based on students ability and preference. I believe teachers are responsible not just for guiding students to the right direction, giving them a push to practice, and most importantly, building their interests.
"What level do you teach?" If you are Jimi Hendrix then this probably isn't for you... if you are bored, a beginner and/ or someone that needs to be inspired then this might be for you. my teaching "methodology"? My lessons are really relaxed and all on your terms, you're in control of everything. I am here to help you teach yourself rather than a teacher.
I try to teach every guitar concept with the music and the songs that the students like, I like to push to get the best results but also have a great time doing it. The objetives of every studient are very different, from give the first step on guitar, pass the tests, to master an style (Metal, Jazz, Funk....), or play in a band, record, etc...
I never forget whose lesson it is and tailor the process to fit the student's needs. I am used to counselling my students through difficult moments and eliminating self doubt. Not only do I prepare students for public exams in Classical Guitar and Theory of Music, assisting with GCSE and A Level content (performance and composition), but I also teach those who seek to play just for the pleasure.
I believe strongly that formative feedback (non summative, informal reflection from learner and teacher) is an incredibly powerful tool in developing a learner's abilities. I deliver my lessons in a friendly way that encourages the learner to consider their own goals and progress.

Depending on your prior knowledge of music I will decide the best way to teach you. If you already have a brief knowledge of music (scales etc.) then we can start by building up your knowledge of notes and chords and put them in to practice with riffs and songs. If you are a complete beginner then I have no problem teaching from scratch.
