I am a very patient and understanding teacher. Learning music or an instrument is a skill that can be very rewarding but requires a lot of hard work. Having been through the process several times learning to sing, play guitar, flute and piano and also music theory, I understand the need for encouragement and patience above all. Like learning a new language, in music, repetition is important.
I specialise in teaching beginners and absolute beginners. Music is meant to be enjoyed and so the goal I have is to see my students enjoying their lessons. I tailor each lesson to maximise learning and fun. I work systematically through the basics of guitar playing and add in more challenging ideas and techniques as and when I feel each student is ready for it.
Tutoring approach: Paramount when I work is accuracy and attention to detail, in order to maximise the results and develop young people’s potential. I believe that a teacher never stops being a student, as we can always learn from our pupils with a mutual exchange of knowledge. Above all, I am so passionate about my art form and absolutely adore what I do.

I'm an expert classical guitarist and lute player, and I'm comfortable teaching students from age 5 to 60, with varying abilities - beginner to expert. This has included teaching to the Trinity exam syllabus, although I usually source my own materials. I believe in tailoring my approach to each student and their preferences, and so the technique and theory I teach are auxiliary to this.
I have been a professional musician and guitar teacher for 25 years now, with loads of experience teaching all ages and musical genres. All levels of students are welcome. The lessons will be directed as much as possible to the student's goals. If you would like to go on the grade's patch, I can help you with any theory needed and repertoire.
Hi there, I have been teaching privately and in schools (primary and secondary and also SEN) through companies like "School of Rock and Pop" for over 7 years. My methods of teaching are not the classic ‘by the book’ approach. I have been repeatedly praised for my ability to make learning the guitar more enjoyable by taking what my students aim to learn and explaining it in a more practical manor.
The key to progress in all areas of life is discipline, especially music. Ensuring regular practice on the part of the student is vital. I will generally discuss with them what style of learning they benefit most from and try to their tailor lessons to this.

I am a second year university student and aim to teach those at GCSE level and below. The word teaching to me seems to be something of a false word within the context of learning. Mentoring or coaching seems to cover the bases much more broadly. Individually is what makes us great, no lesson should be tailored to a group but the needs and the desires of the individual. Every individual learns at a different rate, everyone has a different thought process.
