I love teaching because I find amazing seeing students progressing and achieving great results, but more than that, I do my best to pass on them my enthusiasm and passion for the subjects I teach...as I see the learner as an explorer, who constantly needs to be motivated by curiosity. I have deep understanding of performance, theory and creativity.
I like to base lessons around the student – if you are playing something that you enjoy, you are far more likely to improve and learn. I am able to make ‘difficult’ songs relatively easy for a beginner to master simply be changing the style or altering the chord pattern. By starting to play the songs that you love, all of the techniques regarding picking and strumming etc.
My methodology is that when learning an instrument one must have fun and enjoy themselves to stay committed.
I feel that music comes from the heart, and that's why i'm not in favor of reading music, that takes the creativity out of it. I feel that a person should learn an instrument, and then see where those teachings take them. Thats what I was always taught. Great music isn't created by reading off a sheet.
I like to treat every student that I teach like a friend i believe that is very important i am more than happy to teach students that are brand new to guitar and people who know how to play guitar but are not quite there yet.
My teaching methodology is centred around you. After an initial meeting you may express in which area you wish to develop your musical skills, be it on your instrument, your knowledge of theory, history or composition. I can assist in any way you require.
If you'd like a teacher that makes you complete grades and play boring songs from textbooks older than both of us, then turn away now! My lessons are well planned but with plenty of room for changes on-the-fly. I believe that lessons should be able to adjust to how you're feeling on the day and what you were listening to this morning.
I love to approach the guitar from a different angle with all of my students. I use alternative methods such as open tunings to help beginner and intermediate students approach the guitar more creatively. This helps them feel good about how they sound and become inspired to play more. The more you play the better you get.

When first meeting a student/pupil I would try to get to know them well and find out their level and ability in order to know how best to teach them and how to help them progress. I never talk down to a student/pupil as I know how difficult and frustrating the learning process can be. I am able to teach during school holidays.
My teaching style is based on their ability. For beginners, I encourage learning basic chords/scales with the intention of using them in a song. For intermediates and advanced, I encourage learning Grades to make lessons more purposeful. My format follows a monthly cycle. Namely three weeks of grades, followed by one week of a more relaxed lesson based on songs of the students choosing.
My teaching method is one-to-one as I feel this allows greater concentration and focus. My lessons are suited for people with no knowledge of music or are just starting out so i can kick start their musical experience by passing on my knowledge in order for them to progress into further tuition.
In my lessons, I create a relaxed atmosphere moving only as fast as the students capabilities. Its important to be taken our your comfort zone with music however, I want to make lessons as fun and interesting as possible for my students.
My teaching method has always been, I demonstrate a technique and slowly break it down for the student and play alongside the student as they learn if they need assistance. I always prefer there to be two guitars, however, one guitar is still possible.
I have experience of learning songs quickly and adapting them for playing to audiences, this gives me good knowledge to pass on and a few tips to help learning easier to begin. I let the students choice of music be my guide, I find out what style or genre they wish to work towards and do my best to involve them in the music selection process.
My lessons are professional and informative. I am an empathetic teacher and have taught all ages and abilities. My main ethos is to ensure students enjoy their lessons while providing them with the tools necessary to progress efficiently and quickly.
My methodology is demonstrations and observations. I allow students to observe my techniques and allow you to replicate that on the guitar. I approach each lesson with examples of professional musicians and supportive handouts to expand your level of learning.
I will teach based on what the student wants to learn, whether that be learning songs for their own fun, learning guitar grades or learning how to perform guitar playing in general. I will always strive to make the students have a fun time, learning every single thing that I have learnt from being a student also.
Tutoring approach: Paramount when I work is accuracy and attention to detail, in order to maximise the results and develop young people’s potential. I believe that a teacher never stops being a student, as we can always learn from our pupils with a mutual exchange of knowledge. Above all, I am so passionate about my art form and absolutely adore what I do.
My teaching methodology is pretty easy mainly just to focus my guitar lessons on the basic stuff first power chords, open chords like g a d c just basic stuff for beginners to easily get their heads around as I have always said good rhythm is the basis of good guitar playing.
My Teaching methods are based on inspiring students to learn the classical guitar, creating the opportunity to read music and discover classical guitar music from , Spain , South America, USA, and the UK. The ABRSM exams Grades 1-8 that l teach, form the basis of performance, improved sight reading of music, and develop technical skill and mastery of the instrument.
I am married with two children. I have a degree in music, and a diploma in acting. I am qualified to teach adults and children. I adapt my teaching methodology to the requirements of the student. If a student wishes to work through grades, I can help with that, if they simply wish to improve technique, learn to read music or improve sight reading, I can help with that too.
I intend to employ a highly flexible teaching strategy. By this I mean that, in a sense, the student will be able to manipulate the curriculum as it is being taught. I would tend to spend the first lesson ascertaining the student's intentions and then continuing according to their wishes. With my teaching style, the key is communication.
I am capable of teaching all levels from Beginner to Advanced Tailor made lessons to suit your individual needs. Use of Kodály method if requested.
I am a very relaxed and friendly tutor. I strongly believe that the important thing with music and learning an instrument is enjoying it. Often I will ask my students what they would like to learn prior to the session to ensure they will have fun, although I can arrange lesson material if needed.
