I am an online tutor and like to make sure that lessons are engaging and informative. I like to focus each lesson on a particular theme or event or aspects which the student struggles with.
I aim to make tutorials both interesting and challenging. Lessons will be tailored to suit the individuals needs. I endeavour to provide flexible lesson plans, with the aim of furthering the students knowledge base in the chosen subject as much as possible.
My teaching method is visual personalised to my client and plenty of practice embedded in each session and always fun!
I base my lesson structure depending on the needs and wants of the individual student, altering the lesson to fit how they best work and take in information
I teach using online sources, ie workbooks, multi media and more traditional methods. I identify the needs of the learner then create a bespoke package for them.
I am confident in tutoring up to A-Level in any historical topic. My particular strength is on developing essay skills, critical analysis and argument. My preferred teaching method is to use past exam papers, to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the student and subsequently develop their skills and confidence.
I am an attentive and patient teacher using varied methods of instruction, including conversation, presentations, interactive worksheets and games and using different resources (online, literature, media). I believe in a two-way teaching methodology, with a lot of discussion with the student and active dialogue to ensure understanding and enable me to tailor the lesson to the individual.
My name is Esther Richardson I am a Masters student at the University of Sheffield, I have a BA (hons) degree in History and Philosophy and I am training to teach secondary school History. I love History and I love to teach. Lessons will mostly cover essay writing skills, how to handle primary sources and how to interpret historians writings.
I taylor my teaching techniques specifically to each student as each and every one has their own best method of learning (e.g. some people learn better though listening while others need more practical sessions), I usually prepare mock tests and quizes as those have proven to be easy and powerful method of teaching.
I am a firm believer that everybody has the potential to excel in their studies, provided they find a way in which to enjoy learning. I completely understand the stress, anxiety and low moments that can come from A level studies; being under a great deal of pressure on top of being in a learning institution and being taught in ways you don't enjoy is not conducive.
Hello! I give lessons to students studying history at GCSE and A-Level. My lesson structure will be dependant on what period of history you want tutoring in, but will mostly be given as a lesson in the first half and then working on exam questions and techniques in the second half.
