I give lessons to GCSE level students(Year 9-11) I give lessons designed to help and work alongside what is being covered within their school classes. In terms of methodology I prefer to teach in the way that is best for the group or for the individual student.
David prepares thoroughly for his tutorials and his teaching has been highly commended. He aims to adapt his teaching to fit with the student's learning patterns. David is warm and friendly in his approach, but he is prepared to challenge students when required. He marks homework effectively and promptly.
My teaching method revolves around and is tailored to each individual student; first understanding the best method for a student to learn and continuing from a point that they are comfortable. I focus on teaching at GCSE and A Level and am familiar with the examination structures.
I primarily utilise the discussion method of teaching for one-to-one tutoring sessions as I believe the student gains more through interaction with the teacher. However, I am flexible and will be able to amend my teaching style depending on how the student learns best. Whether that's visual, auditory, reading/writing, or kinesthetic.
I am a masters student studying coastal and marine resource management. Recently Graduated in geography with a high 2.1. Available to tutor using various methods within it be lessons, exam prep or general academic advice. Flexible to wait the individual student requires.
I'm Emma, I'm a (just finished) second year American Studies and History student and therefore I can help out anyone doing anything below degree level. I specialise in American History, but can also cover some European history. Will approach thematically/annually depending on content.
Lessons offered for students starting at GCSE level to Undergraduate degree level. I like to use a variety of techniques when instructing, and will create a tailored programme to suit your learning needs. I am understanding and patient, and passionate about my subject.
I teach in an engaging and innovative manner. My lessons focus on enquiry based questions and have a starter main and plenary structure. Assessment for learning is a key part of my classes and knowledge will be built upon and tested. At KS4 & 5 this includes exam style questions discussed and modelled.
My method of teaching will always be based on individual students in order to provide the most suitable support. I welcome input from students who may perhaps struggle with certain areas, be it essay writing or knowledge retention. As a recent graduate I will be able to help most students at GCSE and A-level.
Currently studying at the open University, this has really opened my mind towards self discipline dedication and time management, i would love to share knowledge with anyone in any subject, because everyone has something different to offer. Everything you learn and read in life you remember, perhaps not consciously at the needed time, but some point in life you recall that information.
Exam question driven. Focused on what is required for each question type, with specific examples shared. The focus can be tailored to each student, but will cover both facts needed as well as examination technique required to gain each level.
Making learning patterns, events and processes in an way that is to encourage learning in a fun and responsive way, to help remember the facts and help understand processes. Sometimes just having a conversation, poster work, actions or role play can help increase a child's learning processes.

My name is Bronte Ramsey and I am a History degree student at the University of Southampton. In my GCSE History I obtained a 100% A* result. I give lessons which aim to challenge but support students in reaching their goals. I am a fun, chatty, approachable person however I am also able to push students to their full potential.
By combining my passion and knowledge of cinema with my (hopefully!) inspiring interpersonal skills, I will first I aim to encourage a thoughtful conversation to help the student to develop their own thoughts and ideas.
I can tutor a variety of levels from primary school to undergraduate. Whether you need any extra help with your weekly reading or if you need guidance on how to structure your thesis - I am your first point of call! I have recently graduated from university with a first in English Literature and History, and therefore I am well-qualified in this position and used to interdisciplinary work.
I approach lessons in an informal manner, opening with a conversational tone to encourage a free flow of ideas, then following with a brief lecture on the topic of the day, and closing with a question and answer session. Before the end of the session students will be encouraged to ask questions I will find difficult to answer so as to encourage critical and creative thinking.
I give lessons to students in secondary education and above. I am attentive, organised and passionate about history and teaching it to others. I am willing to structure lessons to the needs of the individual student to ensure they receive the most effective tutoring.
I am friendly but also rigorous. I start by making sure pupils have an in depth knowledge of the topic, then guide them through how to apply this to examination style questions.
I begin each session with a short quickfire quiz (dates, names etc) to get the mind active. Bulk of the session is based on explaining the subject backed up with photos and videos. Recap to finish.
I base my classes on topics around a historic event or trend and explore the reasons behind a specific phenomenon, tracing the history back to its logical origins, giving an in-depth analysis in the process.
