My teaching methodology is relaxed and engaging. I plan my lessons based on student- centred discussions. I would encourage a student to be confident enough to think out side the box. Frequent small assessments to show the students how far they have come. I offer a lesson in referencing that is particularly essential for undergraduate students.
I am currently living in Belfast and have just graduated in a bachelor’s law degree at Queens University of Belfast. Since that time I have worked in document review roles for Axiom law, Abacus and PWC. I am currently an employee at PWC Belfast, acting in an analyst role for the past 15 months. I aspire to constantly take on new challenges and further myself with any skills I can acquire.
Lessons for GCSE and A-level are held in a similar manner with most students making similar mistakes. Methods of memorizing key details will be shared as well as help constructing compelling arguments and ways to validate points made. Furthermore, steps will be taken to ensure that students understood the lessons message and how it can be implemented elsewhere.
I can tutor A-kevel or undergrad students on an individual basis or in small groups. I specialise in Irish history. Courses I currently help students with is nineteenth century Ireland or Ireland 1900-1925. Lessons last one hour or longer, if needed.
I like to break the ice with students I'm tutoring and get them comfortable before I begin teaching, education can only go as far as the one who's teaching it and if the student dislikes the teacher then both will be wasting their time. With history I like to show my passion as well as how fun it can be and how important it is to look at the past to plan the future.
I am a dedicated and helpful tutor who aims to help students feel comfortable and confident with the subjects that they are struggling with. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I specialise in English literature specifically Irish fiction, 19th century literature and Shakespearean drama.
