I am currently in my first year of study of (BA) History and International Relations, and having received an A* in History and an A in English at A level, am keen to provide aid for exams I have recently excelled at. My lessons will target the needs of individual students, be skilled focused instead of content focused, as I believe this will improve on work already being done for these subjects.
I specialise in improving students' essay writing and grasp of the key elements that facilitate this. I achieve this by helping students analyse different types of essay questions, their respective demands and how to think through and plan their response to each question before writing down their answer.

A First Class Honours History graduate offering support for essay writing and research project design. I emphasise a systematic approach to research questions and essay writing to encourage a concise and direct writing style that gets the best grades. I aim to teach students to ask the right questions that allow for the best answers, and the best grades.
I like to see what the person I am tutoring does normally and what knowledge they have of the topic in history and then take that away and then base the tutor sessions around them.
My teaching methodology is client focused, so catered to the individual student. Due to the time of year, I have found it particularly helpful to focus both on revision skills and essay-writing.
