I love working with all sorts of people to help them realise their dream and full potential. Come and have a chat and lets see if we can put together a plan today. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach a multitude of different subjects including portfolio learning. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a Masters, a BA Hons degree.
I recognise that everyone learns differently and will adapt my tutoring to suit the needs and learning styles of students. I recognise the importance of differentiation to ensure that different learning styles are catered for. I use a combination one-to-one discussion and questioning along with using modelling strategies and interactive media to develop key skills.
I understand that every student is different and will learn in different ways. I also understand how dyslexia can make learning more difficult (having it myself), and will therefore work towards finding the best learning environment for them. I am very encouraging and enthusiastic, and will strive to make learning fun for everyone involved.
My teaching methodology is very much dependent on each and every students needs. I am very versatile and can adapt to all scenarios. I understand that we are all different in our learning and in our first session we will figure out what our best approach will be.
Subjects are approached thematically, and when possible chronologically for topics analysed from a historical perspective. Emphasis is placed on the teaching of mainstream narratives along with skills in critical knowledge for its evaluation which is vital for essay based subjects.
I have tutored boys for GCSE and A-Level (predominantly A-Level); but boys in the year before GCSE have used me as a reference for their Trials and exams. I look to teach by reducing material down, first, and then using each bullet point, as it were, to help expand the point.
My teaching method is based on building a personal relationship with the student and creating personalised classes that are tailored to their strengths and weaknesses.
Initial lessons will be to gauge where we will be starting from, and from then uniquely tailored lesson plans can be created. I prefer 2 hour sessions, and will supply a tightly scheduled lesson that will target weaknesses first - then pinpoint areas to adapt and improve to help achieve the highest grades possible.
Approaching topics one at a time, I specialise in teaching history during the Tudor period in England and Nazi Germany during the Second World War and the period after. You get to choose which topic we get to focus on and I will do whatever it takes to help! I hope to provide a fun and friendly approach to our lessons to make sure that it's not some tutoring lesson you dread every week.
I am a friendly, very approachable, supportive individual who has a BSc (1st class) Hons and MSc (distinction in Psychology. I can teach from secondary school up to & including degree level for Psychology. Lesson will last for 1 hour and consist of explaining and discussing the subject topic online, with power-points.
I believe that no two people are ever the same and that they, therefore, require a patient and considered approach specifically tailored to them. This can range from short lectures, memory games, or even simple conversations. Whatever your need or learning preference, I will help you to personally engage with the subjects and spark that interest that will motivate you beyond the tutoring itself.
I want to help you. Everyone learns differently and understands differently. I work by you tell me what you're struggling with and I will help you. I's structure to suit you and what you want to learn. I'm patient, kind and understanding, so you can take your time and they'll be no pressure (unless your exam is in a week, then pressure is understandable).
I am able to give lessons all the way to university level. I use a wide variety of case studies to introduce key topics, including the science of archaeology and the history of world cultures. I can produce lesson plans and activities for the student as needed, and to fit their own personal requirements and targets.
I'm open to teaching History at all levels - from primary to undergraduate. All lessons will be flexible to best fit the needs of the student. I am very friendly, approachable, and passionate about History, and sharing my knowledge with others.
I am an MA graduate offering history, archaeology and anthropology lessons. I have a background in ceramic analysis, varied excavation experience throughout the Mediterranean, and extensive experience in field documentation and finds processing. Currently, I have 2 ongoing roles on international excavation projects.
My approach is student-centered and I am flexible to offer the help appropriate for each student. This will include past papers, help with understanding concepts and areas of weakness and essay and revision skills. I offer help to GCSE, A-level and undergraduate students.
I am a 2nd Year IB Philosophy and History student who can spent my free time teaching what i do best, studying Humanities subject which i both mastered and have studied in the past under capable tutors.
My teaching method is to firstly assess where the student is struggling, and why that is the case. In addition to this, my method includes attempting to understand the teacher's approach to the subject, in order to avoid any confusion.
I like to engage the student and build a positive relationship with them. Following the set curriculum and preparing for exams is very important, as is writing essays for practice or for coursework. So is aiming to genuinely understand the subject matter and to engage in critical thought and explore around the subject. On top of this having fun while doing so is vital.
My passion is for bringing subjects to life for students so that instead of learning facts they are able to take the stories into their tests, ensuring a higher level of success. I take a holistic approach to my students so that I am able to help them achieve their goals by supporting their existing strengths whilst helping to hone and refine areas that challenge them.
I provide a creative and enthusiastic approach to tutoring and supporting the educational development of children and adults. My hands on teaching style has led to many positive student outcomes, such as improved grades, retention of subject material and increased pass rates in examinations.
I am willing to tutor students from primary up to Sixth Form/College level. I find the best way to tutor is through using popular culture, art and media to support the learning, as well as make the lessons more interactive.
My teaching method is based on the specific works of contemporary thinkers. For instance, one lesson will be on Voltaire's Candide, while another will look at Mandeville's Fable of the Bees. The lessons will use these texts as a jumping off point to discuss the wider social, economic, political and cultural movements of the period.
I offer a professional service tailored to the requirements of each student. I will find an approach that works for you personally and helps you achieve your goals. I base my classes on core assessment criteria that will have you one step ahead in the exam. I combine practical knowledge of the curriculum with an emphasis on objective thinking and your ability to construct an argument.
Firstly, I like to use the initial booked session as a consultation on what your child specifically requires, in terms of course content and exam/coursework technique, as well as important administration such as examining body etc.
As a Masters level graduate who has studied History from GCSE to University level I am able to offer tutoring to any students who need help - from Primary School level to University students. As a tutor I believe it is important to allow students to form their own opinions on the subject matter based around key pieces of information on the national curriculum.
I have a flexible approach to teaching depending on the level and subject of interest. I always try to adapt my methodology to my students. Some learn better with creative approaches, such as teaching historical method with varied and 'non-historical' sources, whereas others benefit from careful analysis of historical texts and of the students work.
