My teaching is unique and differentiated to the individual. Having been a Subject Leader of History (and Humanities) for over a year, and being in my third year of teaching, I am well accustomed to the assessment materials and standards necessary to achieve success.
My name is Richard Smith I've been a teacher/tutor since october 1990 I draw upon a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience I relate to students from diverse cultural backgrounds I employ a successful variety of teaching methods from GCSE to university level
My teaching method is specific to the individual. I notice some children understand and remember information more if they learn practically, whilst others retain the information better from written and analytic tasks.

I would approach teaching by making slides/notes on a subject a student may be struggling with. I would create various documents outlining exactly how to do things like essays, source questions etc.
My teaching method is too cover one or two topics per session and cover them in as much detail as possible being very thorough. Though I would only progress at a pace the student was comfortable with and not move on to the next topic until I was confident they fully understood the previous one.
I approach each topic by breaking it down to the core parts needed for the exam, then looking at how they can be applied effectively.

Each topic will be easily accessible allowing for us to take a journey together towards a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
We can discuss what you would expect from the lesson, depending on how strong or not you feel your level is. My approach is to explain the subject by describing the background more thoroughly but with an easy vocabulary, or provide additional facts that you cannot find in an ordinary school book, as I have managed to gather lots of resources through the years.
My tree aching method changes depending on the needs of the student, I can provide lecture type lessons or visual lessons.
