I base my teaching methodology on understanding each one’s needs, weaknesses and strengths, to improve their study potentials.
My main apporach is communicative as most learners want to be able to speak and understand what is being said to them in a foreign language. Naturally evryone is differenet and the needs also vary graetly so I tailor my lessons to meet your needs.
My students can be beginner, intermediate or advanced learners of all ages. My classes will focus on the area you want to improve and I will tailor each lesson on your specific needs, so let me know what you would like to work on.
I prepare lessons in advance, according to the level of knowledge of student The duration of the lesson can vary, up to 2 hours, as preference.
I am an Italian native and have worked as teachers aid in schools before. I have studied in Italy and recently graduated and am studying English and Creative writing in London. I have taught children from age 6-12 and adults from 15-18 years of age.
I'm a native, mother tongue, A-levels Italian Tutor. I have graduated in Rome, Italy in a scientific high-school in 2012, in the same year I moved to London when i was 19 years old. My Italian diploma is an examination intended to qualify candidates for a university bachelor's degree (baccalaureate degree).
I would base my classes starting with teaching some basic grammar, vocabulary, together with pronunciation. I would give some exercises to practice what we've learned during the lesson, also to understend if the concept has passed.
I would take songs, quotations, parts of books or even movie screen to really get inside the language and to understand the meaning of every word and sentence.
My teaching method is simple.
The way I teach really depends on the age of the student, its knowledge, and the goal of our lessons. I taught 2 years old children as well as 60+ years old adults. Some of them wanted to learn the basics of a language, some needed it for school or to pass a certification exam, and some just wanted to improve their accent.
I like to tailor my teaching around the student. I am very perceptive of a student's strong and weak spots and I like to foster an environment of trust and self-worth. My methodology consists of introducing a concept or core topic, and to build on the interest the student has of it.
My students always say that I teach with a smile and they have fun while they learn. According to the level of the students, I use grammar, conversation, reading, translation or other teaching techniques. Now I chose the teaching via skype as it saves time for both the teacher and the student and it is easier to make appointments.
Ciao! I am an enthusiastic Italian MRes student based in London with 3+ years of working experience willing to help learning my language to pupils, guys on girls. Please contact me at +(concealed information)30 or via mail at (concealed information) .
My best English teacher in high school used to talk to us only in English. I found it very useful that's why during the class I will speak only Italian. I would normally organize a lesson with some grammar exercises, reading and speaking, while I would give short writing exercises as homework. However, I'm a flexible person who can organize the lesson according to the needs of the students.
Before to start a lesson I always start with an initial assessment of the students in order to help them to set the right goals, follows each individual needs. I then like to make my students feel engaged during the lesson and for that reason I do like games and interactive learning, rather then just explain and hand out exercises and tasks.
before setting the Italian lessons I want to understand what is the current level of the student in order to concentrate the lessons on what he does not understand.
I organise my classes around my students’ interests and needs. In general, I try to balance conversation with text-based grammar exercices.
My teaching methodology is founded on the concept that theory is as important as practice, hence a clearly explained set of rules will help to rationalise the use of the language. However, theory without practice is doomed to be forgotten, this is why an adequate practice of speaking, writing and reading is needed.
I am happy to be flexible. If students have a syllabus they would like me to follow I am happy to do so.
I really love my language and I would like to transmit this passion through one-to-one tailor made lessons, in order to help you in the areas you are more interested in. My lessons will include: grammar content, vocabulary, writing exercises to improve both your grammar and vocabulary, reading comprehension and conversation.
During my studies I have taken part at the Erasmus programme and I had the opportunity to exchange my knowledge of Italian with students from different backgrounds of different languages. I like to offer lessons and tutoring lessons as well as help with pronunciation.
I aim to make Learning Italian an easy task for children. Through fun games and activities my future students will be learning with a smile on their faces through positive reinforcement methods and singing in order to enhance their memory. This could be a great opportunity for children of Italian descent but most definitely for children who would like to learn a new and fun language.
My teaching methodology is based on a very easy approach. I will teach you about grammar and vocabulary, we will learn about italian songs and movies. We will both study language and culture and we will focus on what you need to improve.
I can teach kids, adults and students. I will teach grammar, but I will also teach colloquial language as it is really important. Communication is the most important part of a language. I will also teach how to write and read to have a full command of the language.
I am a collegr student that has done italiana at Gcse level and got A* innit. I am a 17 year old girl. Studying childcare currently at college. The method I use are very flexible according to the students need.
My teaching method is : Basic grammar with metod calligan, and conversation in friendly way, like what did you do today and so on.
My teaching method depends on the student or students. Once checked the starting level we will decide the subjects that need to be covered and consequently the best way to do it.
My teaching methodology is based in Constructivism theories, where the student is the center. I tried to use practical examples of regular life to learn. All my classes are individualized and personalized. I love to use music to look for the rule. But any book, article, website and personal experience is used as well as an exercise. we will interact and we will have fun learning.
I would arrange a meyhodology based on the needs and the interests of my students.

Want to learn Italian? Good for you, Italy is a beautiful country and culturally and gastronomically rich.
To speak Italian or any other living language, it is best to immerse yourself in the culture of the country and, if possible to do so, directly in the country itself! But that's not always possible. Fortunately, though, in London, Italian courses are not lacking in number or substance.
The Italian Cultural Institute in London is a major player in learning Italian in London and its suburbs. They are "the official Italian governmental body dedicated to promoting Italian language and culture in England and Wales". They undertake a wide range of activities in order to do so including:
And of course, they also offer top of the notch Italian language courses! Including:
All of the classes available are conducted in Italian and provide training in all basic communication skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) with an extensive study of grammar as well. Their teachers are all university qualified and native speakers and their classrooms are equipped with video and audio equipment, while also giving the possibility of working online. Class sizes are very reasonable at about 6-14 students. A great way to learn Italian quickly and acquire serious language skills in the Latin language.
Also good to know, the institute also offers many other opportunities for those interested in learning Italian or who are already adept:
Italian language teachers are not lacking in the city of London: between universities, private schools, associations, or even clubs, you will always find a teacher ready to help you learn this romantic language. Whether you want to improve your skills or start out from square one, London is full of places where Italian is in the spotlight.
The University College London (UCL) offers 10 week Italian language courses that are open to everyone and will help you to communicate effectively in Italian. They will help you to learn Italian as it's spoken in everyday situations and improve and develop your skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. The classes are 20 hours overall, 2 hours per week, and are held once a week on weekday evenings from 5-7pm. They are taught at various levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners.
While you are enrolled at the UCL for an evening course, you'll also be able to access the self-access-center where you can look at books, films, documentaries, course videos and audio recordings in a wide variety of languages to really accentuate your learning.
The standard fees for external students are:
one term (10 lessons) - £370
two terms (20 lessons) - £665 (10% discount)
three terms (30 lessons) - £890 (20% discount)
Another university, the University of Arts (UAL) London offers courses in different languages, and for our interests, this would be namely the Italian, Arts and Culture Language Courses. They will "expose you to authentic language through listening and reading activities with an emphasis on functional uses."
The courses are 8 weeks long and explore a number of interesting tops such as architecture, fashion and society, and design, as well as improving you general language and communication skills. Expect to be in class from 6-8.30pm one night a week and to pay £215 per semester including all learning materials.
Here's a list of some of the many other schools and associations available to check out!
International House London - is part of a world organisation, made up of more than 150 independent schools in over 50 countries worldwide offering the same philosophy and teaching approach.
And that's the short list! There are so many other great Italian language learning options in London, and let's check out just one more...!
It is also possible to progress quickly by choosing to use a private tutor. Many platforms like Superprof offer to connect learners and students needing training with qualified tutors in a specialized field.
At Superprof, more than 400 teachers are available in London to teach Italian, be it for mastering Italian in a professional context or to train and help students to improve their skills for an exam, upcoming trip or just for fun!
On average, on the Superprof platform, Italian classes are from £9-£20 per hour, with the lower ranges being offered by choosing a tutor with a little less experience, or with a non-native speaker for example. Thus, we can find rates below 10 € per hour!
Take advantage with Superprof, as the majority of our tutors offer the first course for free, an ideal way to gauge the methodology and personality of the teacher.
By now, hopefully, you've understood that Italian language teaching and learning can take many different forms.
From private organizations to school and associations, intensive courses, evening classes, group lessons and private lessons, there are many options available for each language level and need.
It would make sense for each individual learner to establish their training plan and choose the most appropriate method for their personality and learning objectives. There is no point, for example, in having long-term training in a language school if you just want to get by and have some Italian skills before you go on a few week trips to Sicily or Sardinia. Conversely, if you want to speak Italian fluently, long and/or intensive courses are the best ways to progress quickly!
