I am a master level graduate fluent in Italian and English. I would like to teach anyone who wants help learning Italian and the culture of Italy. My methodology is based on improving listening and pronunciation.
I am Veronica and I am an educator. I studied Science of Education at the University of Verona in Italy two years ago. I have been in Belfast since October 2016. I am working as a waitress in a small restaurant and as volunteer at the Musgrave Park Hospital working with children with special needs. I work at the Art Centre as well with a Psycologist and artist.
An experienced teacher, I tutor from pre-Primary, through Secondary to Adult level. I adopt a relaxed but focused approach with the attitude: "Is this what I would expect for my family?".
To teach is to share. The way I teach depends on the student I have in front of me. The most important thing is to find the right way to set a lesson in order to make times and needs of the student fit.
I am able to tailor lessons and learning techniques to meet the needs of every student. Happy to meet with parents and students to discuss the support they need. Spent five months studying in France and five in Italy, living with native speakers. As a result of this, I gained a near-native command of the language and became aware of various regional dialects and variations of the languages.
I always determine the purpose of the lessons, create space for thinking and discussion and incorporate people interests into my lessons, in order to obtain the best results. I teach italian at all levels, both for student and private purpose.
My teaching method is very easy: I start from grammar rules to articulate then more complicated sentences.
Each student is unique and I work with them to understand their individual needs. I use a communicative methodology that includes the use of materials such as material books, music, videos. Every lessons will be based on speaking, listening, writing, reading, grammar, and culture. However, I am happy to adapt my teaching style to your specific level, interests and needs.
I love the idea of sharing knowledge and skills with students. I see tutoring as a mutual exchange of ideas and experience. In my lessons, I try to adapt themes and topics to students' personalities and needs and to make my lessons always challenging.
I have always given lessons on a one-to-one basis, however I would consider tutoring for a class as well, as it could be a way to challenge and improve my tutoring abilities. I believe that a sound grammar knowledge is the starting point to study any language. My lessons will therefore focus on it together with the study of vocabulary.
My teaching methodology is white sheet. This means that it really depends of the student capacity, level and will as I am most used to teach one by one. Most likely I start from the very basics and then I progress.
My teaching method is through text and conversation. I am native so any level is covered. Teaching to children to grandpa/ma! I have long experience in Japan, so I speak Japanese as well.
I give lessons to anyone interested in learning more about the Italian language, the way it works and its different nuances. I mostly focus on grammar and pronunciation, but usually adapt my lesson to the interests of the learner.
The most important thing is to have fun whilst you learn. To speed up the process though, I include elements that are essential and most used in the everyday use of the language. I also use song translation to increase the memory.
I prefer focusing on each student, giving them the support needed in order to feel confident with the language and their skills. What’s more, I truly believe that a sound and healthy relationship between teacher and student must be present, so that I always try my best to crate such environments with mine.
I usually program my lessons based on the student's Italian level, also focusing on his/her needs, interests and ambitions at learning or improving the language. Because my personal experience taught me that learning a new language is best achieved when that language is actively used, I also try to encourage students to put what they have learned into practice.
I strongly believe that the best way to learn a language is to practice it. This is why I base my lessons on conversation and pronunciation. I don't teach to beginners and I structure the lesson based on your needs.
I base my translations/ teaching on my fluent italian, you will learn faster than college/school/online or app classes, i make the class enjoyable , a relaxed experience for any tutor. Your first lesson will be for free.can travel, all expenses will be added to the cost.
I like to teach a language the same way I learnt: by tricky game that help students think in the language they are trying to learn, rather than just translate. But I am also keen on approach the students in their own way.
I have a different approach for each student: we will have a conversation to attest the level you are in and then we can work toward the goal level you want to achieve.
I can change my teaching method depending on the request, I can offer you a well imposted lesson, with a schedule of the topic to discuss about or a more free and easy class. The course will not only focus on the study of Italian language but I would also like to theach you my colture.
I teach young children age ranging from 5 to 10 years old. Each lesson I focus on a different topic (ranging from numbers and colours to holidays and hobbies). I use interactive activities and videos in my teaching and complete the lesson with a game.
How to create a sentence is very important but improve your vocabulary is a must! Why would you like to improve your Italian? do you need it for your business? Let's focus on your area then! Are you planning to move to Italy soon and you don't know how to say how are you doing?? then let's start from the basic steps! :)
My teaching method is to approach the language in a serious and entertaining way recognising the good and bad skills of the person who wants to learn. Therefore working on the difficult sides while keeping the more spontaneous ones fresh and exercised.
I am Federica. I live in Brighton and am currently studying law at the University of Sussex. I give italian lessons to kids (and occasionally adults). My lessons will be delivered in a friendly environment where the kids will feel free to express and learn having fun. I believe the first and easiest way for kids to get to know a new language is through an interactive learning.
