Relaxed and chilled approach No pressure just show me what you can and can't do and I'll help with the rest As long as you're willing to learn and do your best I'll have all the time and patience you need!
I started tutoring in 2012 and in 2015 I became a full-time private tutor. I graduated with a First Class BA(Hons) English Literature from Edge Hill University in 2014 and have a full DBS.
I work one to one with students by using their hobbies and interests (when possible) to help them understand the learning. For example; using baking to help with learning maths etc. I work to identify the students weakest learning points and find great ways to help them improve on this whilst also developing some of their stronger knowledge.
I have only recently completed my degree so I am looking to start tutoring and gain some experience in the field. I strongly believe maths can be understood by anyone it just takes the right way of explaining things in a way that the student understands.
I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I have taught accross all age groups and all standards. I have had a love of and enthusiasm for Mathematics since an early age and like to enable others to understand the concepts. The format of lessons I provide will be flexible according to the requirements of the student. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Mathematics and Statistics. - Tell me about your qualifications.
My teaching method usually revolves around taking a different approach to the type of question by creating a fun way that the solution can be remembered easily. This is done by songs, rhymes, or actions. For exam revision, I can provide a wide range of professionally created flash cards and offer my own ways of learning.
I cater my teaching methods to each client. Everybody learns differently so I have a wide variety of skills that are able to help each individual student. I give lessons to people doing A levels and GCSEs within my subjects.
I believe that when it comes to Mathematics and Physics the skills need to be taught and then tested from multiple different angles using a variety of questions. 'Practice makes perfect'. Once a topic is mastered only then should the student move on to the next.
I can very easily adapt my teaching style to the style that is best suited to the student. I work well with children, taking great satisfaction from them enjoying learning and seeing their progress. I am able to create an inspiring learning environment even though the lessons are online. I aim to make the lesson memorable by keeping it fun, colourful and engaging.
Assess my students in all the topics and try to target their weak points and use repetition and home work to rectify their problems. A highly adaptable and professional individual; with degrees in Aerospace Egn. (Ph.D, M.Sc, B.Sc.(hons)). I have an excellent track record of exceeding expectation and delivering organisational outcomes to the highest standards.
I give lessons to GCSE students and A Level students. For saxophone lessons I do play along lessons including playing and theory using many books and music sheets that I have available. For biology, chemistry and maths I use powerpoints, past exam questions and revision posters that we will go through and talk through allowing you to review the topics taught independently as well.
- Classes Children follow a programme, the starting point being determined by an initial assessment. The maths programme is pure maths - from number recognition to GCSE algebra. It includes topics such as shape, time, measurement, area/perimeter, series, etc. We will also help with applied topics as required. We can provide practice papers for school exams (KS1, KS2, GCSE).
I have observed classes and taught small groups. I have recognised that pupils learn in many different ways and so, I'd rather get to know the pupil before structuring my lessons properly.
I will always remember a comment made by one of my A level physics student, saying to me after a couple of one to one physics lessons, "this is the first time in my life I understand physics!" The feedback I have received from students and parents have always been positive.
I focus on embedding a higher understanding of mathematical theories and concepts, using the most efficient strategies, which encourages independent learning and promotes problem solving abilities.
I am an ODP student who also has a degree in Medical Engineering and I am happy to give lessons in maths up to A-Level and chemistry and biology to GCSE standard. I am an easy going tutor who believes in structuring my lessons around each student and how they learn best whether that be from books, practice questions or even quizzes and flaschards.
Medical Engineering Degree Student - 1st Class Honours. I am patient and adaptable to work with every individual in order to help them achieve the best results. I structure lessons around the student and how they learn best and the focus on the harder aspects they are struggling with whilst also revisiting the more straight forward concepts so they are not forgotten.
Does your child lack confidence in a certain lesson? Do you want your child to become more secure in a certain area of Maths or English ? I provide tuition to develop confidence and understanding in primary mathematics and English. Each lesson will be tailored to the individual child's needs and will enable them to complete work in a way that suits them.
I base my classes on your strength and like to organise the classes so you know what is going to happen!
My teaching method is based upon helping you understand the material being studied, rather than simply memorising or learning content. Understanding is vital as this enables you to adapt to different types of questions which you may encounter in exams. I frequently use past paper or exam style questions in my tutorials as practising questions is the best way to learn in maths and science.
In my personal experience the best way to become a competent mathematician is by applying the mathematical theory to answer questions. For this reason my tutorials will follow a structure of a theory recap for the current topic before introducing personalized questions including exam questions which increase in difficulty.
I currently teach Maths in schools from y7 up to GCSE. I can tutor with any maths topic up to and including A level, due to achieving A* in both Maths and Further Maths at A-level. I believe the best way to revise and learn is to work through examinations questions, but I am open to any other method of learning and will teach any topic you feel you need help on.
My teaching method is to assume my pupil needs to understand the very basics before moving onto anything further. We take things step by step at your pace. I am a good listener as well as a good teacher and am aware each pupil is different and requires a different approach.
I have several years experience teaching Mathematics from KS2 through to GCSE level as well as Functional Skills upto Level 2. I enjoy tutoring 1-1, as I get to connect with individual students and tailor my lessons to suit their needs and abilities. I am flexible in my approach to tutoring, and find that small steps make a dynamic difference to confidence as well as ability.
My name is Chloe and I am studying maths in college after enjoying maths at GCSE and leaving with a good grade. I give tutoring to GCSE pupils, supporting students and helping them achieve their best grades in their exams.
Adaptability (flexibility, adjustability, versatility, re-evaluate the student’s objectives as they progress) Energy (motivation, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills) Openness (accessibility, availability, involvement, empathy) Humility (respect, discernment, acceptance) I give students individualised attention that they don't get in a crowded classroom.
During any session I will identify the problems the student currently has and find relevant questions (past paper or otherwise) to help explain, and eventually, overcome the problem. I primarily will use questions and past papers but am open to any techniques the student believes may be helpful.
I like to be an open and supportive tutor so that you feel confident to ask questions and take things back to basics before attempting the more challenging problem solving questions. My lessons are interactive and enjoyable with the main focus being depth of learning.
My teaching method is break subject into small chunks; exposition; discuss and assess
