My teaching methodology revolves are my belief that 'practice makes progression'. Therefore, my lessons include identification of weak subject areas and then use of practice exam questions relating to the targeted subject area.
I'm a qualified teacher with a degree in Economics and a master degree in Social Economics. I've an experience of 20 years teaching Maths and Economics in Portugal and NI. Since 2015 I've been teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4. I also have experience in private tutoring Maths at GCSE and AS levels. The lessons have a duration of 60 minutes. Those lessons can be individually or in groups.
I like to use a whiteboard for Mathematical subjects and I structure my lessons on the exam board specification as well as the student's more challenging topics. My aim is to have productively covered everything needed for the exam (not going over topics that are already mastered and prioritising harder subjects).
I like to begin by having a preliminary chat to discuss what areas you are having issues with. This helps me to plan tutoring sessions based on your needs. I will prepare problems based upon the preliminary chat and go through them with you and provide you with similar problems to try on your own. These can be sent to me at anytime and I will provide you with feedback at our next session.
Hi, I am a primary school teacher with a degree in Geography, and a PCGE in Primary Education. I plan my lessons so that students feel relaxed and confident, and can work at their own pace and ability. I like lessons to be practical, and believe that children benefit from working with other children as it helps their understanding and boosts their confidence.
I am a 22 year old female who has just completed her second year of a Primary education degree. Throughout both of my years on my degree, I have had experience of teaching children of all ages in the primary school environment from P1 to P7. I always try to make my lessons relevant to lives and interests of my pupils.
I am a 17 year old student at Banbridge Academy. I am tutoring my little sister for the transfer test and she is progressing well. I believe a deeper understanding is key to understanding basic formulas as a base level is never sufficient. I have found the best method of teaching is to ask the child to teach me what they have learned.
One to one private tutoring, using multiple ways to illustrate maths, giving lots of samples of the same theories to ensure a better understanding of it, giving small test to check how my teaching goes, Repeatedly reviewing theories when came across again
My teaching method is filling in the gaps in your knowledge so that all links are connected with the topic. My lesson structure is more of an informal approach, I want you to feel comfortable in my company and not feel inadequacy. Everything will be based around you and what you want to achieve and how we can work together to get that.
